This is what I figured. I replied to a earlier post about the “Got Your Back” ad campaign.

“What is Obama’s team seeing on internal polling?”

He’s lost the middle after Obama Care, the 2010 Mid term showed that. Moderates have bailed on him. All he has left is the far left and the black community.

The far left is upset over Obama no going farther on many things, many feel betrayed over his lack of action in Wisconsin. Gitmo still being open and the frequent drone strikes.

The black vote, the Gay Marrige is hurting him - now in matro areas, I dont thing as much, but blacks in the south like North Carolina.....yes its going to hurt.

Just the fact that he has to even make a commercial like that speaks volumes. Their internal polling must be disastrous!............

I think you’re right.

He may be that rare presidential incumbent that loses his re-election bid. There has only been 1 incumbent that replaced the other party only to lose reelection in modern times— jimmuh carter (H.W. Bush lost, but he did not replace the other party). Until a few weeks ago I was resigned to an Obama win.

Not so anymore.

If I were a black man, I would find the Obama "got your back" ads incredibly insulting and condescending. Obama hasn't done a damn thing for the black people (except put more of them on food stamps) and for him to patronize them in such a manner is disgraceful.

For those who are not familiar with those ads, they feature clips of Obama on the campaign trail in 2008 making campaign promises (that were never fulfilled) over a backdrop of funky soul music. When I first heard one on the radio, it sounded like one of those parody SNL commercials.

Let's hope that the trend in North Carolina is replicated all across America. Obama doesn't care about the black people or the American people in general. He only cares about himself.

Yeah, a 20% drop sounds about right for more socially conservative blacks jumping ship. Some of it could be frustration over the huge black unemployment numbers finally boiling over, but the timing seems to point more towards his gay marriage stance being the motivator.

The Dems have always been a coalition of interest groups, each wanting something from the government. Unions want government backing so they can commit violence with impunity. Blacks want Affirmative Action, "social services", and government jobs. Academics want government grants so they can be paid for producing crap research.

Obama has proved to be very ineffective in delivering goodies for his constituent groups. They don't like being stiffed.
