Wow. Thanks for the post. Got my wings there in 1982 then returned to VT-7 years later spending most of that tour teaching ACM and CQ in the venerable TA-4J.

Evenin’, Kathy...((HUG))...Master Nate is doing well, his Doc’s wondering about his having a “Korean Box Head.” He’ll out grow that.
#1 will probably be induced on Monday, so when-ever GranDaughter Madison arrives, I’ll send on the stats.
DC is now living in Northern Oregon. Her hubbie got a new job, so they moved on Friday last.

We stayed as cool as possible. Pup is not happy with the heat either. I may take her swimming tomorrow, if the parks are not too crowded with kids on summer break.

Get Pup one of those kids wadding pools, fill it with some water, and put a 5# bag of ice in it. Pup will worship you, and be the envy of all the neighboring dogs.

Peacocks And Their Kin
June 12, 2012
Male peacocks are resplendent creatures with iridescent blue-green plumage and elongated trains tipped with eyes colored in hues of gold, red, and blue. They are strikingly beautiful birds, but they have ugly feet!
To be honest, most of us have some type of physical limitation. It may be something weve borne all our lives or one weve recently acquired.
Paul described his deficiency as a thorn in the flesh that kept him humble (2 Cor. 12:7-9). Three times he asked the Lord to remove it, probably thinking that he could then serve God better. But the Lord assured him, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Paul replied, Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
One of the ironies of faith is that God often chooses us to accomplish His most important tasks despite our imperfections, not because of our speaking ability, looks, or fitness for the task. Missionary Hudson Taylor said, God was looking for someone weak enough to use, and he found [you and me]! When we find our strength in Him, He can use us in ways we could never imagine (v.9).
Lord, I have many weaknesses. Please show Your
strength through me by using me in whatever way
You please. May others see You at work in me and
praise Your name. Amen.
Gods strength is best seen in our weakness.

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS!
TATTOO (Click)
Must retire the 0500 0430 Reveille approaches relentlessly - our taskmasters vex us with an ever-increasing burden of work. They have sequestered us in a remote chamber known as The Land of the Lost and mutely stand watch over us as we toil without respite.
The bugler, their minion, his grim visage replete with an evil sneer, already mounts the parapet.
If Im able to escape their grimy clutches for a while, Ill chat with you all on the morrow. I can say no more they approach! Do poor Tom some charity, whom the foul fiend vexes!
Good night, God bless you, and God bless the United States of America!
Godspeed our Troops around the Globe especially those in harms way by virtue of their service and sacrifice we continue to live in Freedom!
