You know a friendship has gone sour when you start making mean jokes about your friend in front of his most bitter nemesis.
So it was a bad sign this week when the U.S. defense secretary joshed in front of an audience of Indians about how Washington kept Pakistan in the dark about the raid that killed al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden a year ago.

Treat them like enemies and stop giving them money that is now borrowed from our great grandchildren. It is demoralizing to have to pay taxes when billions are being given to terrorist nations like Pakistan.
One missile from a nuclear submarine or Air Force base could destroy every major city in Pakistan. Their weapons, on the other hand, are comperable to what we dropped on Nagasaki.
Was Pakistan ever a friend? How many $billions haves been sent to Pakistan as gift, courtesy of US taxpayers? Sans that Pakistan would not even pretend to be a friend.
Backass little dirtwater has been sucking up our money for years, because our crappy leadership has been too chickenshit to tell them to eff off.
Two-faced little bastards. Cut them off. They'll wither away on their own.
Go India. You're our bud.
Pakistan has no control over the Pas-tun autom0us areas, leaving the “us” to exert control.
control
;.
Paki ISI as always been an enemy..
A Nagasaki sized bomb would make a mess of any US city.
Delivery is the problem there. We can deliver a huge thermonuclear explosive to any place on Earth in about 20 minutes. Do you know what the “trigger” is for an H-bomb?
Wrap them in bales of marijuana.
Do you know what the trigger is for an H-bomb?
Yep.
Most people have no idea.
Duh....
Heck, most people don’t know about the hairdrier.
Pakistan has always been our enemy — even when we didn’t know it...
We need to coordinate with India.
Yeah, I read this AP “story” earlier today.
The journalists, with typical liberal blame America first bias, state that US and Pakistani relations went sour because the US did not give advanced notice of the US raid to kill UBL.
They are wrong. The real reason relations are so bad (which is not even mentioned in this long story!) is the fact that we found the worlds most wanted terrorist, not hiding in a cave deep in no mans land, but living in relative comfort along with at least two wives and a bunch of his children in one of the larger Pakistani cities. He had been living there for several years. Any rational person looking at this situation would have to become very suspicious. At some level the Paks must have known that he was there and may have even been assisting him. Because of this, the US would have made a big mistake asking for permission first for the raid. There was too much of a risk that UBL would be tipped off and whisked away.
These journalists and their story editor know this, of course. But they just could not pass up the opportunity to blame America first. And once again proving the problem that it is not only what the liberal biased reporters *do say*, but also what they *dont say*.
Pakistan’s longest range missile is the Shaheen-II with a range of 1,400 nautical miles. Our Trident D5 has a range of over 6,000 nautical miles. An Ohio class SSBN could hit Islamabad from port.
Plus our SLBMs and ICBMs (and I suspect our MRBMs) are MIRVed. Also, we have nuclear-tipped cruise missiles, nuclear armed aircraft and things I still can’t speak about. I also suspect that our UAVs are nuclear-capable. No one country or group of countries can stand against us, unless we foolishly disarm ourselves.
Pakistan was extremely useful for us during the initial attacks on Al Qeda/Taliban. It took a lot of skill to do this.
Pakistan is a mess, and dangerous. Using them for our purposes is the best scenario. Obama is blowing this and making a dangerous situation much worse.
Support India instead. Pakistan had to be paid off and threatened to support us vs. the Taliban in 2001. They never were a friend to the U.S. Offer a period of assistance for the safe emigration of the Christian population from there, then nuke to glowing dust whatever is left.
America can find taxi drivers from somewhere else.
