The ObamaCare poll that the White House hates: 4 takeaways
By The Week's Editorial Staff Fri, Jun 8, 2012
A new survey shows that a full two-thirds of Americans would like to see all or part of ObamaCare struck down by the Supreme Court.
Two-thirds of Americans would like to see the Supreme Court strike down all or part of ObamaCare, according to a new poll conducted by The New York Times and CBS. The poll comes as the country awaits the Supreme Court's decision on President Obama's signature legislative achievement, which is expected to be handed down sometime before the end of June. During oral arguments in the spring, conservative justices expressed skepticism about the constitutionality of ObamaCare's central provision: The individual mandate, which requires most Americans to buy health insurance. Here, four takeaways from the latest poll:
1. ObamCare is still very, very unpopular
According to the poll, 41 percent of Americans would like the high court to overturn the entire law, while another 27 percent said only the individual mandate should be struck down. A mere 24 percent said the justices should uphold the entire law. Republicans are particularly opposed to ObamaCare, with about two-thirds saying the whole law should go. However, the law isn't all that popular with Democrats either, with only 43 percent saying the court should keep the entire law intact.

As are members of Congress.
So who did the GOPe pick? Why, none other than Mr. RomneyCARE.
Wonder if the Supremes still remember that public dissing given them by Zero at the State of the Union?
GOP chose Romney? I thought it was the voters - the voters in a few states that is - since I never have a choice due to living on the west coast.
I sincerely hope that the SCOTUS strikes this lemon down...but I’m not all that confident.
I’m worried also - the 2 Obama appointees. I hope the judges aren’t all that impressed with Obama’s threats.
Romney won some votes by CHEATING and SMEARing
CONSERVATIVES.
People despise Romney and will not vote on
Election day for him.
How could they.
ROmney reprsents ROMNEYCARE, gay marriage,
increased taxes, Inelgibility, TARP
and even VULTURE Corporatism.
The GOP is finished.
Could be decided this Monday.
Many here on FR gleefully joined in. Please understand, I'm not picking on FReepers alone. This was true of conservatives everywhere, but some of the shots posted on here about Bachman, Santorum, Perry, Newt, and even Cain at times were stuff you would normally find at the DUmp.
No conservative candidate was good enough. We had to find all their flaws (real or perceived) and then magnify them as much as possible. We had to make sure we destroyed everyone except our particular chosen candidate regardless the cost.
Unfortunaely, in the end, all of our conservative candidates were too damaged to be viable and Romney was the only guy left standing. I hope that we learned a valuable lesson, but my gut tells me we likely learned absolutely nothing from it, and will do it all over again when given our next chance.
Hope you’re having a good evening! Just think...according to the Mayans it will all be over soon anyway.
ALL the attacks came from ROmney and his vicious Team
JUST LIKE IN 2008.
That is it. NO MORE SUPPORT OF GOP if ROmney is at the
head of the Ticket.
A ticket supporting ineligibility, RomneyCARE, TARP,
Sharia, and Romneydelusions is NOT about Conservatism.
Worse, it is a ticket about BACKSTABBING CONSERVATIVES.
Romney has NO chance to win, only to ruin the GOP.
Whichever candidate moved ahead ever so slightly, they all teamed up to destroy.
First Bachmann got it after she won the Iowa straw poll. Then Perry after he entered. The Cain after he rose to the top. Then Newt, then Santorum.
Eventually, we (conservatives) helped knock them all out, to the sheer joy of Romney and the GOPe, and this is what we are stuck with.
I can't stand Romney and feel his election could potentially do more long-term damage to the conservative cause than another Obama term. I'm not sure the country can survive four more years of Obama though, so I guess I hold my nose and pull the GOP lever again this year.
You've been a Freeper for 12 years and still don't get how this works?
I don't think the GOP is finished. But it is not as strong as it could have been. IMHO Romney the nomination because there were to many conservatives running for the office. The same thing happened with McCain. Sad to say because I like the man I believe Ron Paul was a stalking horse for Romney. I am a Newt supporter. I will support Romney with my vote, time, and money. Less bad is better than more bad. Good luck Freeper.
Wow , you nailed it brother. Conservatives spent more energy bashing each other it seemed, than focusing on the end game. I'm still burned about the hatchet job done on Cain, but he should have anticipated what sub human worms infest the MSM and prepared for the onslaught.
Not true.
Team Romney attacked the other conservatives.
They did not attack each other.
DIRT appeared from Marriott (WHy would that be, Milt?)
DIRT appeared from Team Romney over and over
just like 2008.
The implications are that the GOPe has selected
Mr. RomneyCARE, THE American RINO
Backstabber of Conservatives.
“Wonder if the Supremes still remember that public dissing given them by Zero at the State of the Union?”
You bet your bippy they do. And they will reward him for it.
Not only is the kenyan idiot exempt but so is congress, the senate and their families. Also, there are 1572 businesses that are exempt, of which over half are union.
