Zombie Bullets In High Demand Following Flesh-Eating Attacks
DETROIT (WWJ) Worried about a zombie attack? Buy zombie bullets.
Talk about zombies and a possible zombie apocalypse has increased due to recent gory accounts of drug-induced, flesh-eating attacks in the news.
Stores across the U.S., including in Metro Detroit, are getting in on the undead action by selling Zombie Bullets, made by Hornady Manufacturing.
In promoting the product on their website, Hornady suggests, Be PREPARED supply yourself for the Zombie Apocalypse with Zombie Max ammunition from Hornady! Loaded with PROVEN Z-Max bullets MAKE DEAD PERMANENT!
So, will this ammunition actually defend against the things that go bump in the night?
WWJ Newsradio 950′s Zahra Huber spoke with company spokesman, Everett Deger, who said, while the bullets are real, theyre only meant to be used on targets and not on people (or zombies).

Deger said company president Steve Hornady came up with the idea for Zombie Max bullets because of his love for zombie movies and shows.
After it gained some acceptance among some of us here in the company got on board with the idea we decided just to have some fun with a marketing plan that would allow us to create some ammunition designed for that fictional world, Deger said.
He said the Zombie Max and Z-Max bullets are Horadys most successful products.
This is probably one of the only (product) launches that weve seen when people who are not in the hunting and shooting industry will go out and they will purchase this, Deger said.
I mean, Ive heard of guys who buy it just because they think the packaging is cool and they set it on their cube and they dont even own a gun, he said. It has that sort of cross-market appeal, which I think is rare to find these days, where you can actually sell something that will transcend not just one market but go into several.
In Michigan, the bullets are available at Cabelas. You can find other retailers selling Zombie bullets at this link.
Hornady even makes a .22 Magnum CD round. It launches at over 1000 fps out of a 2” barrel and gets 9-11” of penetration in gel with an almost 100% weight retention. It’s perfect for a S&W 351PD backup.
Everybody digs Ash!
This is my BOOMSTICK!
All my AR-15 pieces fit my Carbon-15 21S Pistol:

and the 100-rnd drum mag is a blast on it:
The barrel tip gets HOT after 2-3 drums!
You can also lop their heads off with a machete. That works - no, I haven’t tried it - yet.
My favorite is an AR 5.7 with 50 round mags combined with FN 5.7 pistol with 20 round mags. Same ammo for both guns!
The 5.7 is what I was too lazy to look up, but that is what I had in mind as the "perfect" set-up.
The AR-15 and it's pistols, 9mm pistols and short rifles/semi-firing submachine guns and so on are all the right tools, but for perfection in zombie guns, your package is the absolute best.
Here is someone's comment from a forum: ""(2) VERY low recoil, so you can see your hits if youre shooting varmints out to 200 or so yards; (3) 50-round capacity; (4) Simple, blowback operating system; (5) Major versatility with all the rails to mount loads of accessories on the thing; (6) WAY less noise than a .223/5.56, in case you need to do some shooting in an area where excessive noise would be a problem; (7) Excellent accuracy;""
Now I have no choice but to watch Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness this weekend!
