Yeah. I have something similar in 9mm, called jhp/xtp, a follow up after the Black Talon business IIRC. It's OK. Here's a before/after pic of their 124 gr.

Hornady even makes a .22 Magnum CD round. It launches at over 1000 fps out of a 2” barrel and gets 9-11” of penetration in gel with an almost 100% weight retention. It’s perfect for a S&W 351PD backup.

You can also lop their heads off with a machete. That works - no, I haven’t tried it - yet.
My favorite is an AR 5.7 with 50 round mags combined with FN 5.7 pistol with 20 round mags. Same ammo for both guns!
The 5.7 is what I was too lazy to look up, but that is what I had in mind as the "perfect" set-up.
The AR-15 and it's pistols, 9mm pistols and short rifles/semi-firing submachine guns and so on are all the right tools, but for perfection in zombie guns, your package is the absolute best.
