In an interview with Charlie Rose on "CBS This Morning," former Florida governor Jeb Bush revealed that his father, George H.W. Bush can no longer walk unassisted.
Jeb Bush said his father, 87, is still good mentally, but "he can't walk... He has to, you know, he's help by a stroller... That's hard for a guy that's been so vital and vigorous in life."

Indeed, there are few senior citizens as vital as George H. W. Bush. For many years, on his birthday, the 41st president made it his habit to skydive from an airplane. He did it for his 75th and 80th birthdays, as well as number 85 back in 2009.
In 2009, after landing, he joked, ""It's a great, exhilarating feeling... I don't feel a day over 84."
In the interview, Jeb Bush commented on his brother's legacy as president. "There's a fine line between stubbornness and the positive side of that, which is dogged determination. And I think what people will begin to see is that he wasn't stubborn. He was totally determined and principled about it. And the country was safer

"The terms red states and blue states came into use in the United States presidential election of 2000 on an episode of the "Today" show on October 30, 2000 to refer to those states of the United States whose residents predominantly vote for the Republican Party or Democratic Party presidential candidates, respectively."

Related? How on earth is this related to the rest of the article?? The only way it is related is by genetics. Good grief, these media people are ridiculous!
Reagan was a RED???
I met him about a year and a half ago and he was not getting around too well.
Yeah right! I remember that during the breakup, GHWB's administration was worried that Yeltsin and his people would be worse than the Soviet leaders and were rooting for the continuation of USSR.

Your opinion. Sorry you hate to hear it. I have read other of your posts and find we agree on very little.
President Ronald W. Reagan is my favorite president of all time. Of course he was not of feable feeble mind. It was a political decision. The GOP would not have supported his presidential run if he hadn't "selected" George H.W. Bush as his running mate. It's as simple as that.
The left excells at demonizing and minimizing people. I grew up in a Lefty household and when I was five years old I thought that Ike was an old, feeble, not very intelligent man who only played golf and that Adlai Stevenson was almost a God and maybe more brilliant than God. Last night we watched IKE portrayed by Tom Selleck and the discrepancy between the hero and the man I was made to “see” was dramatically depressing to me.
Ronald Reagan was great, but it’s also true the USSR fell not under Reagan, but under GHWB, and the elder Bush managed it superbly. All conventional wisdom was that East Germany would have to be kept in the Russian sphere, definitely no NATO troops there. Bush insisted on and got 100% German reunification in NATO.
As for a posting here about Yeltsin, when hardline commie generals tried to stage a coup, Bush backed Yeltsin and prevented a possible return to the cold war.
Has Bush been reelected, as a 2 term president his accmplishments would be far more recognized.
It also helped that Helmut Kohl was the German leader back then.
The Bush Sr. liberry (for those of you in Rio Linda) is near Houston, and I was there about 8 months ago. They mentioned then that he was in a wheelchair.
I’ve also met him a couple of times. Very nice and funny as hell. I’ll concur that he was a crappy president, but he’s a hell of a man.
I HAD to leave that link in there for exactly that reason. Thanks for noticing.
And speaking of opinions, the Clint Eastwood line came to mine as I read that snark about Bush 43s popularity rating. One thing I always admired about W is the fact that he didnt give a tin sh1t about what the polls said. And neither do I.
...........
I worked at US Customs and Border Patrol during W’s term. W was prepared to throw open the borders officially before 9/11. After 9/11 it was all unofficial. still is..
The border problem is the mess that’s left over from the crack up of an elite program to form a north american union.
Camera shy, I guess.
Bonus question: Which one of these flyboys looks least qualified for a life in politics.
Answer: The youngest one.
To be fair, It was Reagan who put Sandra Day on the court.
THAT was Mistake No 2
What stupidity, he led a coalition that smashed Sadaam, against everyone saying he couldn’t succeed. Freed Kuwait, destroyed Sadaam’s forces.
Do you realize Kuwaiti’s, Shiites and Kurds were being slaughtered BEFORE He smashed Sadaam?
That it set up Sadaam to be defeated in the second go round?
