The meat of what happens here is that Issa questions Holder about the wiretaps and Holder essentially blames Bush, justifying their handling of the wiretap applications based on how the Bush administration handled similar applications. But during Issa’s intense questioning of Holder, Democrats Sheila Jackson Lee and Mel Watt ran interference for him, constantly interrupting over Issa’s refusal to allow Holder to use up his time filibustering. Democrat Ranking member Conyers steps into the fray after the questioning to object to Issa’s style of questioning.
Basically the Democrats turned what was legitimate and necessary questioning of Holder into a circus:

I watched the first 10-15minutes of it. I don’t know how Lamar Alexander kept a straight face at the answers Holder gave about when and if the White House was informed about F&F.

So - I’m guessing there will be no Grand Jury - that this long running dog and pony show will continue - as a show only - running down the clock past election.
And I’m thinking this is being allowed/perpetrated by BOTH sides.

This is wonderful. I can get arrested for not having my drivers license and thrown into jail.
Gun running and death can drag out for years without arrest.

Everyone knew years ago Eric Holder is a crooked con man when his actions in the Marc Rich Pardons Clinton handed out for cash came to light.
His behavior here is nothing anyone with an IQ above Sheila Jackon-Lee would not expect.
I can almost guarantee that there will be no grand jury. We will get the same as we got wityh the border fence, social security reform, more gas exploration, less government, ect ect ect. Just a bunch of wind coming from the GOP. I will be glad when the GOP is finally flushed of the do nothing but talk liberal rino’s.

You are not wrong. All the hearings in the 90s over the Clinton Cartel’s crimes did nothing substantial to punish the perpetrators.
This is all just kabuki theater by the ruling republicrat oligarchy to fool us into thinking we are represented and that there is actually rule of law in America.
