Senate Democrats blast national security leak about cyberattack against Iran

Senate Democrats on Tuesday blasted leaks to the press about a cyberattack against Iran and warned the disclosure of President Obama’s order could put the United States at risk of a retaliatory strike.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), chairwoman of the Intelligence Committee, said the leak about the attack on Iran’s nuclear program could “to some extent” provide justification for copycat attacks against the United States.

The FBI opened its own probe Tuesday into who disclosed information on the Iranian attack, The Wall Street Journal reported. On Capitol Hill, the Senate Armed Service Committee promised hearings, while two Republican senators called for a special counsel investigation.

Several Democrats noted with alarm that the Iranian cyber leak is just the latest in a series of media reports that disclosed classified information about U.S. anti-terrorism activity.

“A number of those leaks, and others in the last months about drone activities and other activities, are frankly all against national-security interests,” said Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.), chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. “I think they’re dangerous, damaging, and whoever is doing that is not acting in the interest of the United States of America.”

“This is like an avalanche. It is very detrimental and, candidly, I found it very concerning,” Feinstein said. “There’s no question that this kind of thing hurts our country.”

it is not the “disclosure” of the order that is putting us at risk of a retaliatory strike, it’s the order. That said, Iran has had a pugnacious attitude for a very long time and cannot expect passivity as a response forever.

The DEMOCRATS are worred about security leaks now? When several of their members have been the leading source of such leaks?

Does NOBODY remember Senator Patrick “Leaky” Leahy, who dropped the tidbit about the US running phone taps on known Islamic militants, and thus deprived US intelligence of a vastly rich source of information?

Their concern seems misplaced at this late date. After all, if the Islamic militants are going to win anyway, don’t these Democrats want to be on the right side of the fight?

“Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), chairwoman of the Intelligence Committee”

Now there is an oxymoron

The woman who lost her $5 million campaign warchest to a grifter, in charge of oversight of our national secrets

Not to worry, Achmadindejad is meeting Putin in China this week. I’m sure among the 3 of them they can discuss an appropriately well-timed cyberstrategic counterstrike

After many meetings, hearings, and investigations that waste millions of dollars of our money, they will all decide that

Its BUSH’S fault

No time to investigate the Fast and Furious lies to Congress, busy investigating who leaked this national security secret...

I love how the Left is running around like Chicken Little shouting “Who leaked this? who leaked this?” Who do you think? Who thought he would benefit from this portraying him as a tough guy? Why, none other than Pres Kardashian. Instead it portrays him, again, as a complete dolt who doesn’t think things through. Of course, the blame will probably fall on some flunky in a cubicle with an old computer, if it doesn’t just fade away altogether. But, I bet Israel and Iran won’t forget.

It's true the leaks are damaging. But this appears to be an attack by the Clinton people on Obama - NOT great concern for the country.

I don't believe dems care about the 'leaks' either - it looks like the Clinton people are going after Obama - nothing more than that... they're all back-stabbers.
