[snip] Dowd portrayed Obama as lazy, nihilistic, removed and self-absorbed. Now comes Brown on today's Morning Joe, calling Obama "aloof" and not "lovable."
Daily Beast editor Brown made her comments in the context of criticizing Obama's decision to stay out of Wisconsin, not deigning to come to the aid of Tom Barrett, the Dem candidate looking to unseat Republican Governor Scott Walker in today's recall election.

What should we make of two leading liberal ladies, first Maureen Dowd, now Tina Brown, taking shots at Obama? Ping to Today show list.
I think it is a precursor to the explanations for Today’s Wisconsin vote results. Something is up, and it may be that liberal unionist ideology is willing to blame Obama rather than forgive their largess for a, frankly, incompetent affirmative action boob.
Tina-Brown-accidentally-tells-the-truth bump
Cold, calculating, deceptive, evil people are not “lovable”.
I still would not be surprised to see their hero pushed aside with a Hillary takeover at the convention. There is still plenty of time left for a mutiny to occur.
Yeah, well, unfortunately, Romney is about as loveable as herpes...
They are prepping the masses for a clinton take over of the party.
“I still would not be surprised to see their hero pushed aside with a Hillary...”
...wouldn’t that create a race war? I mean, it’s nothing short of total racism to replace “the one” for any reason isn’t it?
They are trolling for face time with the Dear Leader. They’ll get back in the kitchen when the time comes. They always do this kind of stuff with Democrats a few months out from the election.
Why hi-jack this thread for more Romney hate? Start a vanity and go enjoy. Thanks
Obama needs to come out of the closet.
Translation:
My heart still belongs to that "lovable rapist", um, I mean "lovable rascal" Bill Clinton. He was never 'aloof', rather he was such an accomplished con artist that millions of gullible fools actually believed that he felt their pain.
Obama didn't gp to Wisconsin for one simple reason: the outcome of the election did not look good and in an election year, he can't afford to be associated with the loss.
Obama’s making them look bad. He was touted (and touted himself) as the messiah who would roll back the oceans, cure the sick, provide everyone who wanted work with a decent, well-paying job, make peace with our enemies, put an end to political corruption and partisanship, etc. And a lot of people believed it.
So now where are we? Reality has set in and their noses are out of joint.
FWIW, that was Mika Brzezinski’s opinion, too. Right after Brown spoke, Mika said: “it was maybe clear that it wasn’t going well.”
Doesn’t matter what they say, they will still vote for him in November.
Off topic, sir.
I guess it's as LBJ said, slightly adjusted for the era: When you've lost the Menopause Marxists, you've lost America.
Americans aren’t allowed seats at the media poobah table in the UK. The people wouldn’t stand for it.
So why do we sit still for lectures from snotty, superior, botoxed Brits such as Tina Brown and Piers Morgan?
And I don’t mean pass laws. I mean common business sense should prevail. Brits pontificating on American culture and politics is simply bad business. CNN’s (especially Morgan) and MSNBC’s numbers are barely a blip on the radar.
These are publicly held companies. American stockholders should be screaming their heads off about continuing the money-losing policies of having Brits lecture Americans on our own networks.
