George Zimmerman has returned to Central Florida, arriving late Saturday evening. On Friday, June 1, the court revoked Mr. Zimmerman's bond, ordering him to return to custody within 48 hours. The defense team has coordinated with the Sanford Police Department to ensure Mr. Zimmerman's security when he turns himself in before today's 2:30 PM deadline.
While out on bond, Mr. Zimmerman has been living in a secure, undisclosed location as there are significant threats against his life.
Mr. Zimmerman's lawyers will request a new bond hearing where they can address the court's concerns regarding the representation of funds available at the time of the original hearing on April 20. The defense team hopes that Mr. Zimmerman's voluntary surrender to Sanford police will help demonstrate to the court that he is not a flight risk. Furthermore, the vast majority of the funds in question are in an independently managed trust, and neither Mr. Zimmerman or his attorneys have direct access to the money.
On May 8, Mr. Zimmerman waived his right to a speedy trial to allow the defense team the time needed to prepare for trial. It is anticipated, though not certain, that the case will not be ready for trial until some time into 2013, and the next bond hearing will determine whether Mr. Zimmerman will wait those many months in jail or not.

Once again, the burden of proof is on the prosecution.
The prosecution will have to prove that Zimmerman attacked Martin, if their charge is to stick.
And the preponderance of evidence available thus far, such as the injuries to the respective individuals, for instance, as well as other circumstances, supports Zimmerman's claim of self-defense.
If you wish to take the prosecution's angle in this discussion, then embrace the fact that it is the state who will have to prove, with their evidence, and beyond any reasonable doubt, that something other than self-defense occurred.
The autopsy report on Trayvon showing bloody knuckles yet no wounds or cuts or bruises to the face as from someone else's fist. The medical reports and photos from the paramedics, the police, the physician of broken nose, black eyes, bruises to the face, cuts to the back of the head as Trayvon was banging his head on the concrete. All of this evidence was released by the prosecuting attorney atleast a week ago.

Multiple freepers swear that the fact is that martin attacked zimmerman....I say support that speculation with genuine proof.
So far nobody has.....want to try to yourself?

All the damage to zimmerman just shows that he can't fight and got his ass kicked. It does not prove in any way who started the fight.
If you have proof that martin did, in fact, start the fight then post it. Of course we both know that you can't.
The Medical Examiner also noted that Martin had scars on his right shoulder and right hand but completely missed the scar under his right eye which is very visible in the 'gold-toothed' Trayvon photos that have been posted here.
Didn’t I hear that the supposed unreported money was in a bank account dedicated to Zimmerman’s defense and was donated and that donations were still coming in. It was not something that Zimmerman earned and saved in a personal account. If this is true it is probably a mix up in understanding of what should have been reported.
You have no proof that Zimmerman acted in any way illegally.
I await said proof from you. Until you have it, I suggest you quit denigrating your fellow FReepers by using the “babbling” term.

No -- the witnesses saw the black man on top pummelling the guy underneath. The forensic evidence identifies the one on the concrete being pummelled as Zimmerman. There is no doubt about that.

That's possible but not likely. A shoving or pushing match would be relatively harmless. Who then raised the stakes and turned it into a fistfight??? Why would Zimmerman who is 7 inches shorter and likely to lose any physical encounter start something with someone so much bigger??? Even a couple of inches is enough to make you back off.
The reality is that we will never know what happened.
We know enough to know that Trayvon was violently beating him before he was shot, and if that's the case then Zimmerman does not belong in jail.
But the wife told them that her brother in law knew about it and the didn’t pursue that.
Someone pointed out the timing of this... it came out the day another prominent attorney, Don West signed on.

The subject has been given so much attention that anyone on FR asking that now obviously hasn’t been paying attention.
Suffice to say a community watch member who calls 911 about suspicious activity and asks for the cops to come, then has his head smashed against a sidewalk, then shoots a larger stoned guy with a criminal record while the latter is on top of him, well, it’s pretty clear to anyone without an agenda.

Once Martin began slamming Zimmerman’s head into the concrete, he had commenced behavior dangerous enough to Zimmerman to justify “lethal force”.
He did, and Zimmerman then shot him. Good shoot, IMHO.
Perhaps our difference is predicated upon how we see one human slamming another human’s head onto concrete.
You seem to feel such an act as acceptable, just part of a fight. Fights do not justify using lethal force unless there is reasonable fear of severe bodily harm or death. In this case, the medical and legal findings support the “potential lethal act”.

I would expect freepers would be more positive about a man who is being railroaded in a clear self defense case. But then there are a lot of losers hanging out here recently.
iow...you know that you can’t provide any proof that martin started the fight, jumped, attacked or assaulted zimmerman.
Shelly Zimmerman told the court that her brother in law had the information. DLR decided not to pursue that avenue. Crump is behind this.
