Influential African-American pastors have requested Attorney General Eric Holder to grant them a meeting with President Barack Obama, saying he broke their hearts by endorsing gay marriage – "something that is simply wrong" – as a civil right.
"We pray for the President ... President Obama is the fulfillment of our dreams for our sons -- and he has broken our hearts by using his power and position to endorse as a civil right something that is simply wrong," the Rev. William Owens, founder and president of the Coalition of African American Pastors (CAAP), wrote in a letter to Holder late Thursday.
The coalition, which comprises of leaders of the black church and civil rights leaders who marched with the Rev. Martin Luther King, decided to seek a meeting with Obama after Holder announced he would speak with 350 black pastors to inform them of their rights in speaking for the president without violating their 501(c)3 status.
Organizations with 501(c)3 status are not allowed to be involved in fundraising, political campaigning or lobbying.
"I would pray you have enough residual respect for this group of clergy, to agree to meet with us and other national leaders to discuss our concerns over your and President Obama's endorsement of gay marriage as a civil right," Owens said in the letter, signed by numerous black pastors. "Some things are bigger than the next election."
A day after voters in North Carolina approved a constitutional ban on gay marriage and civil unions by a large margin, Obama announced May 9 that he supports legalizing same-sex marriage. In response to Obama's stance, the CAAP started gathering signatures on a marriage pledge – signed by over 1,000 African-American clergy and Christians thus far.

These Black churches are nothing but a joke resulting from a historical accident. Unlike the Catholic Church with its lineage to Christ, Peter, and the apostles and a Catechism that sets forth core beliefs, these Black Churches are as varied and disgusting as Rev. Wright’s pseudo-Church to those of Joel Osteen. They need to be dissolved.

I never knew Eric Holder could grant anyone a meeting with Obama.

So now Holder who is supposed to represent all of the people is now going to speak to 350 black pastors to tell them what they can get away with when they tell their parisioners to vote for Obama.
Does this sound a bit racist to anyone else? Especially when Holder decided to turn the New Black Panthers loose when they harrassed voters?
Obama may have stepped in it this time, but no matter whether he did or not, he has established a position that will be nearly impossible to rescind. There will be no way in hell any President to come after Obama will ever be able to rescind the order to allow open homosexuality in our military. He has ruined our military for good and all.
Doesn’t matter what he has done or will do, they will still vote for him!
In other words, if you speak up in support of Obama it isn't a violation of your 501(c)3 status. However, if you speak out AGAINST Obama, then your tax-exempt status is in question...

I have wondered how the supposedly God fearing African American church could turn a blind eye to BHO’s support for abortion, abortionists, and partial birth abortion AND their seemingly acceptance and endorsement of Black Liberation Theology (so steeped in Marxism) social justice and not equal justice and many other antiChrist inspired positions. Could it be they have changed their version of God and now it would appear the God they worship and serve is closer to Allah than Jehovah. Both cannot be God. I pick Jehovah since he sent His only begotten Son to die for my sins. Seems like Allah sent a murderous, blaspheming pedophile and polygamist. His Holy can that be?
