Gov. Rick Perry is once again slamming out-of-state interest groups backing former solicitor general Ted Cruz in his runoff with Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst this time tweaking Sarah Palin, U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint and Rick Santorum by suggesting their states could learn a lot from Texas, but Texas doesnt need their advice on choosing its next U.S. senator.
Perry, standing staunchly behind Dewhurst, brushed off the question about whether his own tea party credibility may be damaged by his opposition to Cruz, who has been endorsed by national conservative and tea party groups and figures (including Palin, DeMint and Santorum) in the runoff for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate.

Without naming Palin, DeMint or Santorum, Perry called them to mind by naming their states: I appreciate everybody paying attention to Texas as well they should, they could learn some things on how to run South Carolina and Pennsylvania and Alaska.
Come to Texas and learn how to do it right, but dont come down here and tell us who needs to be our next United States senator, thank you very much. Well decide that without your outside, Washington, D.C.-oriented help, Perry said.

How about he root for the Tea Party conservative? Is that too much to ask?
Bulletin from Perry's own website (www.rickperry.org) in run for re-election as governor in 2010:
"Governor Sarah Palin endorses Governor Rick Perry" (title & link)"One of the best Governors in America-- Sarah Palin of Alaska-- has officially endorsed another of America's best Governors-- Rick Perry-- in Texas' 2010 primary race."
"The news underscores the appeal Governor Perry has among both social and fiscal conservatives..."

Well at least he's not posing with the Mexican flag!
You can support Dewhurst without attacking people that had your back when you most need it and you asked for it.
Ouch! lol!
He not only offered it, he signed it, he backed it, he defends it to this day and he attacked conservatives who disagreed with it. He also attacks Tea Party groups who dare support Cruz.
Kinda makes me laugh. I can't recall how many Perry backers argued that he was pro- Tea Party when his actions past and present scream he is not.
None of these folks did.
I myself voted for Cruz
I’d hardly call what Perry said, an attack.
I see plenty of Perry hate though.
He's gonna burn a lot of political capital trying to shovel Dewhurst against the tide.
That is completely irrelevant and you know it.
I'm glad to hear you voted for Cruz. It proves you're not all loony. :-)
Sorry Rick, as stated above we are out RINO hunting and Dewhurst is in our crosshairs. GO CRUZ!
You wore that out months ago.
We can disagree with Perry w/o hating him. If you really believe we can't then you must also believe Perry hates Palin and Tea Partiers because he has disagreed with her/them.
Had Lepperts votes gone to Cruz we would still have a runoff but Cruz would have beaten Dewhurst in the polling.
Instead of ripping Perry I am focusing on swaying Leppert supporters to vote Cruz.
BUWHAHAHAHAHA!
.
You should be ripping Perry. His support carries weight and would help elect the TEA PARTY conservative Ted Cruz.
Open both eyes -- wide.
Just the truth that Cruz is a better choice for the US Constitution and that Perry is on the wrong side, again.
Cheers!
That chick on the left is cute!
Dewhurt supporters are not likely to switch candidates.
He has the lead in the polls
Oh, and I voted Paul in an effort to stop Romney from cinching the nomination.
Dewhurst supporters might also be Perry supporters and would think highly of a Perry endorsement. I personally think he's a halfwit and give his word ZERO weight. But that's just me; I think logically.
Fact is, I don't know if Dewhurst supporters would switch their support and neither do you. One thing is certain, Perry's support of the non-TEA Party candidate serves to support my claim all along that he is no TEA Party conservative.
