Blaming GOP obstructionism for the lingering jobs crisis, Democratic leaders on Friday called on House Republicans to bring a long-term highway bill to the floor.
The Democrats led by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) noted that Friday's dismal jobs numbers included a steep decline by 28,000 jobs in construction employment. Reauthorizing transportation spending for two years, they argued, would help put those workers back on payrolls and stabilize the economy.

After 3-1/2 years it is still Bush’s fault?
That is the Dem logic, or excuse for logic.
It is always someone else’s fault when they inevitably fail.
FUBO!
No worries The Keystone Pipeling will be adding thousands of union jobs to the construction industy. Oh wait a minute....nevermind.
The guys been in office for three long years now. He is incompetent and must blame everyone but himself and his failed policies.
Blame Blame Blame...Blah Blah Blah...Get these idiots out of the White House!!!
when will the GOP grow a pair and mock the rats by telling them the stimuloss was suppose to take care of all this???
BLAME SHIFTING...THE ONLY WEAPON THE DEMOCRATS HAVE. I abused cocaine for many years, but God mercifully delivered me from that horrible bondage. You know, not once did I ever consider blaming the South American coca farmers for my addiction.
This Highway bill is a porkorama for both parties and should not be passed as is.
shades of Bil Keane’s FAmily Circus: “Not Me!”
Who killed Keystone?
When the Democrat controlled House and the Democrat-controlled Senate passed Obama’s Porkulus Bill in 2009, there were supposed to be millions of “shovel-ready jobs” ready to solve the unemployment issue.
Yesterday, the GAO came out with the number of jobs created by that $888 Billion boondoggle. Each job created cost the taxpayers of this country $4.3 million.
Why in the world would Republicans want to vote for any bill put forth by such ignorant spendaholics as Pelosi and Reed?
I hope Boehner has a response, other than to curl into a ball.
Ya know when the unemployment rate was slightly ticking down (although artificially), Obama and the Dems were patting themselves on the back. Now that it ticks up, it’s the GOP’s fault.
Too bad no one in mainstream press would pose that as a question to Obama and or the Dems -
If the administration was taking credit for the months where unemployment was ticking down, how can they blame someone else when the the number goes up?
“We’re preventing the Democrats from destroying the economy by digging us deeper into debt.”
There. Simple.
“We’re preventing the Democrats from destroying the economy by digging us deeper into debt.”
There. Simple.
But obama say’s there are no “shovel ready” jobs anyway. ...cept isn’t there some pipeline that needs to be built?
Warren Buffett ordered to hire several million new employes.
Is the highway construction for all those Hot selling Chevy Volts?? I know the libs want us out of gas powered cars? So the new roads must be for Chevy Volts!!
Or will it be for bicyclists??
A new leader finds three sealed letters in his desk with a note that says open in sequence in case of an emergency.
A crisis happens and he opens the first and it says blame the person before you. (Aka blame Bush) The crisis goes away.
The second crisis happens and he opens the second letter. It says blame your staff. Again the public buys it and the crisis goes away.
The third crisis arrives and the confident leader goes to his desk and opens the final letter. It reads, “write three letters.”
Dear Leader (the Big Zero) and the Dem's know they have only 3 letters and a major election coming in November. That is why they have been using the first letter over and over again. They are hoping to avoid getting to the third letter, but it is not sinking in that it will be probably be opened.
As such they are looking at blaming each other (Dear leader blaming either the party leaders or the rank & file and the elected Dems, starting to say it is Obama’s fault).
