Better to elect an Christian-hating heretic than a Marxist as far as they're concerned.

So you'd prefer a Marxist in the White House to a Mormon? Fair enough. As far as I'm concerned, this makes you either a liberal or an unhinged crank. If you are a liberal, you're clearly on the wrong forum. If you're simply an unhinged crank, then we really don't have much to say to each other because I've learned long ago not to argue with crazy. It's an exercise in futility.

No other possibilities?Dang!

Interesting thread to read a little late.

Some altered opinions and many still disabused as well.

We are an impatient bunch. Vigorously political and given to projection.

The man with the delegate count is not yet nominated and we have projected past that as to how he will fly or fall. All just so much opinion as to potential or tendency. The fellow must make himself real like any of these functionaries. Only time will tell if his first concrete actions will yield a “no child left behind” moment or a response like Bush rose to after 9/11.

We have only to look at his strong words of the last six years contrasted against his actions in the nineties to see in one person the twin opposed expectations we show on this forum.

We must hold firm as with all functionaries and act only upon his real actions and firm stances taken.

I hope to see our nation's path made clear. I see no reason to hope for failure, turmoil and revolutionary chaos that seems to be the solace of some. I wish we had a more suitable tool but our mistaken tendency to make him a villain gives him the power to fail. Making him, as much as we are able, a representative of our opinions will yield many frustrations but also a few successes I expect.

The important thing will be that those actual failures and successes will have been tempered by the broad input from conservatives of all stripe and he will feel our input daily as we hold his feet to the fire.

To be fair, Drew, they would prefer neither. but that is not what is going to happen. It will be one or the other.

I will to vote for Romney despite his record...and his record is not ALL bad, but it does have very non-conservative aspects to it.

Thta’s why I supported Sarah, Cain, Santorum, and the Newt in the primaries in that order. But Romney won.

Now, as the list of endorseres in this thread shows, all of those people and many, many more are enddorsing and supporting Romney because the grasp the simple fact that either romney or Obama will be President.

Critical Endorsements for Mitt Romney
http://www.jeffhead.com/endorseromney.htm

All of the hand wringing, all of the desire for it not to be so, all of the religious posts about Romney, all of the anti-mormon post about him, none of that will matter. It will be one or the other, either Romney or Obama.

And Romney, despite his past, has indicated that he has changed, and has been running on a platform of issues that support that change for the last five years. And when you look at that platform, the same one he is ommitting to to all of these very prominant endorseres, it is not a bad platform at all.

Mitt Romney in 2012 on the Issues

I submit he will have no choice but to follow keep those commitments. And if he does and we also deliver a majority House and Senate, the US will undergo a HUGE turnaround, and he and his admin will get a lot of the credit, and he will get elected to four more years of the same.

Why would he jeopardize that? Why would he turn 180 degrees away from that?

Answer...he will not.

We have absolutely no chance of expriencing or witnessing any of that with Obama. He will dig in his marxist heals and double down on all he has been doing in his first four years.

We cannot allow that to happen and that is why, I too, am supporting Mitt Romney now for President.

WHY I WILL SUPPORT MITT ROMNEY
