now that all is said and done, I would STILL rather have had this doofus instead of Obama

I think he is just a stupid liberal of the Kennedy type (JFK, not Tedddy the swimmer)

and could have reached across the aisle a bit our way

I could be wrong, please dont call me bad names if you disagree- I will cry

The campaign finance law is so vague the jury could not make sense of it or find what specific part of the law was broken.
They should save the taxpayers money and not retry this one.
Instead they nerd to fix campaign finance laws by making all contributions illegal.

Which is it? Two other threads said it was guilty on one count and either hung jury or jury sent back on the other five.

“First, kill all the lawyers”.

I think that was William Shakespeare.

Drudge line said “mistrial”, and I say so that’s the way he’s going to get out of this, i.e., declare mistrial and decide it’s too costly and not worth the effort to retry. The system’s corrupted or ‘rats lead charmed lives.

It pays to have friends in high places. Even if they’re corrupt also.

The Fox Legal reporterettes somewhat predicted this a few days ago. Not this exact outcome, but they basically said Edwards is one of the most brilliant lawyers of the generation, and he could be guilty as sin of anything, but he probably could twist out of most anything.

I don’t care about that, I want to know if he got a date with the alternate juror he’s been flirting with.

So, is the million dollars then a personal gift, if not a campaign contribution?

Anyone notify the IRS?
