Former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney has now secured at least 88 of the 155 delegates at stake in the Texas Primary, bringing his secured delegate total to 1174, 30 more than necessary to win the majority of the delegated needed for the GOP nomination.
With 4% of Texas precincts now reporting, Romney has consistently maintained or increased a 60 point lead over his nearest competitor, Congressman Ron Paul.
In the contested race for the GOP nomination for U.S. Senate, David Dewhurst is holding a 48% to 31% lead over his nearest rival Ted Cruz in a nine person contest.

I know you’re not interested in reason.
You’ve made that clear when you say you don’t want either Romney nor Obama to be president.
But I think Romney has a better chance of beating Obama than the guys we were left with at the end.
You need help.
Please check yourself into a mental facility at once.

Typical projections of a liberal loon when confronted with truth and reality. Take your own advice, nutter.
Nothing funny about the comment. Funny is people who will vote for any abomination solely because of a party label and twist themselves into contortions to “morally” justify it. Amazing that one single execrable President can cause so-called self-described Conservatives to jettison their beliefs and principles to go running to an equally execrable opponent. Actually, more sad than funny.
Who said I was not interested in reason?
The only reason people think Romney can beat Obama is because they where TOLD he could.
I look at his record and Obama’s and I am left wondering. Why should I vote for Romney? He is Obama.
I personally think Obama will beat Romney like a rented car with insurance. Romney will try to be “above the fray” and will leave the “sensitive” issues out.
I see 2008 playing out all over again.
Well it is official, after 2 decades of working hard for the GOP, they have pushed me out. I feel used. Now to work on getting a real conservative party going strong. To hell with Mitt Romney (he is already headed there) and the GOP.
Since the establishment rammed him down our throats, because he was touted as the 'only one that has a chance to beat obama', he damn well better win.
Never heard of Murrymom. Sounds like that’s my good fortune.
You were here when she posted. She got the ZOT right before the ‘08 election.

Wow, she got away with backing Obama for months?
It’s not like she hid what she was. I’d rather have open leftist Democrats posting here (a few, not en masse) than trojan horses, leftist Democrats pretending to be Republicans telling us how “Conservative” they are.
:)
A lot of people here are backing Obama and proud of it.
they call it something like being true to their conservative goals or something.
We have our primary in Colorado in late June. It was already decided. WE HAD NO VOICE. Nor did you in Texas. The Republican Establishment decided it for us. What a FARCE!
Thanks Meg!
FYI, Meg. Got my Colorado Primary mail-in ballot today and there is not even a ballot for the presidential office. Just 3 down-ballot races. That’s it.
