(Click on link to see the priceless video!)Senate hopeful Elizabeth Warren, in a sequel to an awkward on-camera encounter this week about her claim to Native American heritage, bolted from a campaign event yesterday, refusing to answer a Herald reporters questions about the controversy.
Moments after giving the keynote speech at the Young Democrats of Massachusetts convention, Warren and her handlers hustled out a rear exit of the SEIU 1199 offices in Dorchester. She climbed into the passenger side of an SUV and closed the door as a Herald reporter asked her a question and a photographer rolled video.
Professor Warren, were with the Herald. Can you ... a Herald reporter said to Warren as she hopped into the car.
Shes got to get going. Im sorry, a man who ushered Warren out of the building said. Sorry, were running late.
The man then apologized for earlier closing two stairwell doors on the Herald crew while it was hot on the heels of Warren and her entourage as they hustled out of the building.
I didnt know you were behind me, he said.
Warrens spokeswoman, Alethea Harney, declined to say where the candidate was headed after the Dorchester event.
Earlier this week, Warren repeatedly dodged on-camera questions about her ancestry from a Fox 25 reporter, responding instead with talking points about her campaign and its emphasis on middle-class families.
Yesterdays SUV exit evoked memories of the great escape U.S. Sen. John Kerry pulled off in the summer of 2010, when he slammed a car door on a pack of newshounds eager to know how he would pony up the Massachusetts taxes on a $7 million yacht hed docked in Rhode Island.
Can I get out of here, please? Kerry said to the media scrum that day, after an event at the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station.
Harney said Warrens campaign was unaware that the Herald crew had attended yesterdays event. A Herald reporter and photographer identified themselves by name and affiliation to event staff at the door and stated their intention to speak with Warren after her address.
The campaign declined to make Warren available by telephone later in the day, and instead released the same statement it put out Friday, when U.S. Sen. Scott Brown urged Harvard University to correct its records for the years it has reported having a Native American woman on its law school staff.
The Herald broke the story last month that Harvard Law counted Warren as a minority hire and touted her Native American roots. The New England Historic Genealogical Society has found nothing to prove her claim that she is 1⁄32 Cherokee a claim she says is based on generations of family lore.
Elizabeth Warren - Native American Minority
Richard Blumenthal - VietNam War Hero
John Kerry - Christmas in Cambodia
Al Gore - Invented the Internet
Hillary Clinton - Named After Sir Edmund Hillary
Bill Clinton - Remembers the Burning of Black Churches
Barack Obama - Born in Hawaii/Born in Kenya
Liberal politicians are frauds and keep getting away with it by a complicit media.
I agree, any more from Brown will look like piling on. He has raised exactly the right questions, in the right tone.
Now let it run its course, without any further statements on his part or from his campaign. Sheesh, even the Globe is stealing material from Breitbar.
I do find her shrill and more than a little self righteous. Her campaign “theme” of sticking it to the rich rings hollow coming from someone who gamed the system to become an uber one-percenter.
This is an issue of character and that needs to be pounded home again and again.
The fact that the country is being run to the ground by people exactly like Warren. People for whom the rules do not apply. People who lie to benefit themselves.
I hear (word of mouth) that it is Harvard's standing policy and instruction to personnel not to respond to media questions that might embarrass the University -- just stick to the script, no matter what question is asked.
I think the problem is, if the only thing that Scott Brown talks about is Warren’s bizarre claims, he begings to look petty and is in danger of engendering sympathy for her.
He should reserve a few zingers (Like when she replied to the question, “How did you pay your way through law school” at a Democratic forum by saying “Well, I kept my clothes on.” Asked about her reply on a Boston morning drive time show, Brown replied, “Thank God!”)
When she gets particularly far out on a hypocritical, self-righteous limb at a debate, he can deftly chop her down with an adroit reference to her gaming the system for her own benefit, using an imaginary minority status. He should state it as a face, leaving it incumbent on her to refute it. Her denials will ring hollow, because they are lies.
With help from above...
"Obama featured in ad for Elizabeth Warren"
"President Obama is praising Democrat Elizabeth Warren in a new campaign ad, propelling him into a more visible role in one of the nation's hottest Senate races.
Ha! My husband is pretty low key about other women, but Marisa Tomei rocks his world.
Running Squaw in heap big trouble!
My wife is pretty low key on other women, too, but likes the character Mona Lisa Vito, who is engaged to Vincent Fiorella Laguadia Gambini.
and what’s with the shaky head??
even when she’s saying ‘yes’, her head’s saying ‘no’.
can you imagine watching this crazy woman as a Senator for 6 years?? ARRGH!
Yeah, yeah, I know, he's about as Indian as Granny Warrren is
According to Breitbart, Harvard has thrown Warren under the bus.

I was trying to remember who it was this scumbag Warren reminded me of and I finally figured it out! Remember that ditz who ran for the Wisconsin Supreme Court last year? The crazy woman who thought she had won a close race and demanded no recount, but then thousands of uncounted ballots were discovered and she lost big so she demanded a recount?
THAT's the goofball... THAT's who this moron Warren reminds me of!
Where do the rats find the rocks to kick over in order to find candidates like these? I guess they figure the strategy once worked long ago in Washington (state) where the assclowns there elected (and continue to reelect) the simpleton, Patty Murray, so it's worth a shot everywhere.
