Three possibilities follow the bombshell discovery that Barack Obama was promoted in 1991 through 2007 by his professional agency as an author "born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii." (1) Obama untruthfully presented himself as Kenya-born. (2) Obama untruthfully presents himself as Hawaii-born. (3) Obama had no knowledge that his bio contained the 16-year-old "error" which was corrected in April of 2007, when Obama was gearing up his campaign for the U.S. presidency.

Playing up radical third world origins will get you further in liberal academia than being born and raised by middle class whites in Hawaii.
Probably not actual fraud, and irrelevant anyway since the statute of limitations has run out on any possible offense. But it is potentially embarrassing.
I mean, if it was just a mistake, why not “born in Sweden”, “Born in France” etc. etc.
I don't know if it was a mistake or not or where he was born, but mistakes usually have some connection to something else immediately present in front of you.
If you see "born in Hawaii ... father from Kenya" you might make the mistake of writing "born in Kenya" or "father from Hawaii." Wouldn't that be the commonest kind of mistake?
If you had a friend travelling to Sweden or France, you might accidentally plug those in to what you're writing, but aren't such mistakes less common?
You make the mistake and quickly look over what you've written. If you wrote "Kenya" and see "Kenya" somewhere on the page, you figure you're okay. If you wrote "Sweden" and don't see in in what you've been given, you read it more carefully to see if you got it wrong.
I'm not saying that's what actually happened, but c'mon ...
I’m waiting for a reporter to ask Jay Carnie: “Doesn’t President Obama owe a huge apology to the so-called birthers?” The reaction from both Carnie and the press corps would be awesome to watch.
Someone needs to ask that publishing house, where did they get the notion Obama was foreign-born in the first place? Obama certainly looks and sounds American. If he had walked into my office, I would have assumed he was American, unless told otherwise.

Am not discounting in total what you suggest. But it has to be much deeper than that.
I have also heard that Mclame wanted the campaign to be honorable and about issues. And I ain't buying that one either because as a Navy (military personnel) we all know character is everything.
Others have noted that if Obama registered for college in the United States as a foreign student (either because he was adopted by his stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, in Indonesia or because he actually was born in Kenya), he pretty much had to go with the bio of the down for the struggle foreign author.
In 1991 Obama was only three years out of Harvard. Every alumni in a top notch grad school tracks everyone else, especially the high flyers such as the (first black) president of the school Law Review. Obama's born-in-Kenya story therefore must have been consistent with what Obama claimed with his student colleagues while in Harvard.
That's not the same as saying what Obama claimed about his birthplace at Harvard while he attended law school there is true. Obama could simply be providing continuity once having graduated from Harvard for a lie he told school officials while in Harvard as to where he was born for student aid purposes. If so, because of needed consistency of the paperwork trail for admissions purposes, that lie would likely extend all the way back to Occidental.
Someone should look up his Harvard student colleagues and professors to get them on the record as to where Obama claimed to be born back then.
I’m sure they did, but by that time it was too late because they would hve ALL the BLACKS against them. They could be behind all this stuff coming out now.....if his numbers go dwn to the high 30’s, he will be Toricellied.

Have to be much deeper. Now if you suggest a payoff or personal enrichment . . . now that might be worth following. Corruption is usually accompanies most explanations.
Why bother? They'll just lie. Truth is they thought he was born in Kenya because that's what Obama himself told them. Was he speaking in a Kenyan accent at the time? I wonder... But they'll never 'fess up to this. They'd rather blemish their reputation than tell the truth.
Sheriff Joe needs to pull his investigators out of Hawaii and have them start sniffing around Columbia and Harvard. Wouldn't be surprised if other literary agents made the same "typo".
Even if Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama had been birthed in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House Obama is NOT a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN.
McCain was in on the fix. He was doing as he was directed to do, which was to pretend to campaign for President. Someone way high up in the shadows had so much stuff on the Clintoons that they were kept quiet about what they knew.
I think that the same shadow power brokers have now decided that zero has accomplished pretty much what they sent him to do. It’s time for him to go now. They also decided that Romney will be the R candidate and President. He will do as he is told also.
Did you notice how aggressive McCain’s campaign was in the primary to keep his Senate seat? Romney can be aggressive, even dirty when he want’s to. We’ve seen that. He might not have to do this with zero though, because more info will come out from other sources not connected to Romney. I had the feeling a while back that Romney has already been selected for us, not just as the Republican candidate but as the next President.
It’s entertainment for us, to keep us distracted.

There is some plausibility to that. Had to think about that for a moment. But lets see . . . Did they not call Bill Clinton the "first Black President?"
Certainly some in the black community would have spoken out, but certainly a politician such as the Clinton's could have easily overcome that problem. If one can not overcome 10 percent of your base with a political solution, negotiating deals with the leadership, then one is in the wrong game.

Romney is taking things “off the table” and announces he intends to fight by gentlemen’s rules. Just as McCain did and Dole did, and Bush I, and Ford. I cannot believe he is simply stupid which is the other possible interpretation. I think he will take a fall just as the others did.
