Don't forget to budget in the 600 miler after the Indy 500.. run at King JJ's home track no less. It should be a real feast, a smorgasboard of action.. if we're lucky. ;-]

8:39 a.m. ET — Richard Petty Motorsports teammates Aric Almirola and Marcos Ambrose swept the first two starting positions during qualifying. The pole is the first of Almirola’s Sprint Cup career, and Ambrose’s effort equals his best start.

Jimmie Johnson, Greg Biffle and Clint Bowyer are third through fifth, and Mark Martin, Kasey Kahne, Denny Hamlin, Paul Menard and Regan Smith sixth through 10tth.

J.J. Yeley, Mike Bliss, David Reutimann and Scott Riggs failed to qualify for the race.
