I might be FOR this if these kids went on to a career in the Military or FBI, but I’ll bet the school district will make reading the koran mandatory along with verbal diarrhea about how “progressive” it is.
Is that old windbag still on the air ?
Ha Ha-—the Hispanics thought they had the second language racket tied up!!!! Rush is great.
The school wants to make points with The UN Agenda 21 International Baccalaureate program.
Yep, and pulling in millions ... thanks to his thousands of loyal and open-minded listeners. ;-)
soetoro will be reading “three little pigs” to the children in arabic.
I unfortunately live here in New York city and it’s already run under despotism so I guess the libs here want to try a little more and go all out for Sharia law. This city is so filled with suicidal masochists it’s unreal.
Still at It see ... LOL!
Good luck to those students who set out to learn Arabic. Arabic is a tough language for English speakers to learn—even tougher than other Semitic languages such as Hebrew. Whereas a good student can read a newspaper in French, Spanish, German or even Russian after about a year of studying the language, I have been told by those who have studied the language that it takes about four years of study before one can read a newspaper in Arabic.
Unfortunately for you he is *Smile*
Yup, things like this on the surface are a good idea in and of themselves, but whenever the uber-progressive NYC school system is involved, count on the fact that there'll be a healthy dose of propaganda along with it.
Remember these great believers in "separation of church and state" in the NYC school board were setting up separate prayer rooms that only the little junior jihadists were allowed to use. Try getting a room set aside for Christian Bible study after scool hours in one of these buildings.
A student forced to learn Arabic should learn how to say things like the following (in Arabic, of course).
1) “You are an adulterous whore and will now be stoned to death.”
2) “You need a clitorectomy to help you maintain your virtue, lest you become an adulterous whore and end up being stoned to death.”
3) “Put on a burka! You look like an adulterous whore who should be stoned to death.”
4) “The instructor is an infidel whore that is a cross between a pig and a monkey.”
When it is time to practice speaking they can recite one of these, deliberately stumbling across a couple of words to give the impression of a student earnestly trying to learn.
I was once told that if I wished to learn a second language, I should choose one with either military or economic significance.
Spanish has no military and only limited economic value.
Arabic has both. So does Russian.
Well said. We need to point this double standard out ALL the time.
Does the curriculum include the teaching of the Muslim religion? about sharia law??
Will these courses proselytize students turning them into Muslims as prisons do??
Europe will rid itself of Islam before the US will, if ever.
What a bunch of weasels we have become.
Another Reason to Homeschool?
After 9/11 I thought EVERYBODY should learn Arabic. But I’m not sure where this school is coming from.
I think we Americans do suffer from not learning other languages. It seems to me that most educated Brits have always learned French, but I could be wrong about that.
And only a generation ago most well educated Americans (at least Catholic ones like my parents) learned Latin.
The USA is almost 6,000 miles from Key West, Florida, to Nome, Alaska, with 300+ million English speakers. Nothing like it in world history. English has become the language of technology, too.
Just since the ‘60s, Japanese, Arabic and now Chinese seemed to be the ‘necessary’ language. Truth is, everybody in the world except the USA is migrating toward English.
