There are many who thought this day might never come: we finally have a document from Obama’s college years. Well, sort of. Let me explain before you look.
The website Buzzfeed has unearthed a copy of a syllabus from a class Obama used to teach at, presumably, the University of Chicago. So while it’s not what many have been hoping for (transcripts from when Obama was taking classes), it is technically a document from his college years — the years he was teaching.
The syllabus is for a class called “Voting Rights” from the winter of 2002. And guess what was required reading? The Supreme Court case Bush v. Gore about the 2001 election.

It would not be much of a law school if they did not. But then again, I would also expect them to study Marbury, but apparently Obama missed that section.
Looking at that class, a smart, fast on his feet conservative would have busted that class wide open.
The class seems to be all about how elections are RACIST, RACIST! Especially the evil court that stole it from Al Gore.
You can tell it’s a genuine Obama document...there’s a lie at the top of the first page of the syllabus, where he lists himself as “Professor” Barack Obama. As I recall, Obama was a lecturer in the law, a part-time employee and definitely not a professor, although the University has tried (in recent years) to depict his position as equal to that of a full-time faculty member.
I’m surprised he didn’t describe himself as an associate dean, or a part-time member of the Supreme Court. As he told Reverend Wright, “your problem is that you have to tell the truth.” Hardly an issue for Barry Obama.
Not many people have actually read Bush v. Gore. The vote on whether Floriduh had committed a violation of the Constitution was 7-2. But you never hear that and nobody in the media seems to know.

Obama was teaching a specialized class in Voting Rights. All of his students would have already taken the 1L class in ConLaw. In ConLaw, they traditionally would have started with Marbury.
Oh you can bet they know, they just do not want the addlepated democratic voters to know.
I noticed that his email address was bobama@aol.com. I’d have thought that a teacher affiliated with the university would have had a university email address.
A bit on a tangent here, but do you happen to know if a plain old lawyer, when he becomes a teacher in high school, can ask that he be referred to as Doctor?

He sure is proud of that “professor” title. I thought he was a lecturer rather than a real professor. IIRC, my college profs only put their last name on handouts.
Obama taught classes, so there must be some folks out there that attended his classes.
Would they be so hard to find, and if found I wonder what they would say about his teaching.
Seems to me if a student attended classes taught by the POTUS, they would at least be bragging about it, or maybe he never really taught anyone, anything.
Maybe it was like one of those union “no show” jobs. It may be that it was rigged so nobody attended the class. It can be very easy to arrange by playing with schedule and credits.
Michelle’s job at the hospital was a “no show” job.
Only if he has a doctorate.
Judging by the syllabus, he has made it all about race.
But reading all about his marijuana “prowess” in high school, can’t say as anyone should take a class from him.
If these two facts were known about him before 2008 we’d all be a lot richer today. Aint nobody better off than 4 years ago, except Michelle.
Perhaps they were all contacted before he ran for POTUS and "persuaded" to kept their traps shut.
I don’t think “Professor” is out of line. As I recall, when I was in college in the 80s the faculty were either “Dr. Smith” if they had a doctorate, or “Professor Smith” if they didn’t.
Professor is more of a courtesy title, Doctor indicates an earned Phd. The earned title of Doctor carries more weight in the faculty pecking order.
