Whatever theyre putting in Jay Carneys birthday cake, I want some. During a gaggle aboard Air Force One today, the just-47 White House Press Secretary woke up a sleepy press corps with a rant about fact-checking Republican talking points that, relatively speaking, nearly veered into Sam Kinison territory. Quoting from a recent MarketWatch commentary, Carney told the press do not buy into the BS about the Obama spending record, and that doing so is a sign of sloth and laziness.
The substance of Carneys rant is really quite simple: you see Republican flacks appearing on cable news shows all the time spouting unmitigated garbage about President Obama exploding the debt, choking off US oil production, overregulating businesses, and spending like a drunken Romney, while rarely being challenged on the facts.
Whats remarkable about this is that, in over three years of covering this White House, I dont think Ive ever seen anything remotely interesting come out of an Air Force One gaggle. I usually peruse the transcripts just to stay on top of things, but the gaggles are normally brief, matter-of-fact affairs. Additionally, Carney wasnt even provoked to go the eff off, he just did it. After answering a routine housekeeping question, Carney said this to the sleepy press corps:

I hate maddow.
Pure propaganda
Short and sweet is they are saying BO hasn’t increased spending. Somehow we have these massive deficits and there has been no spending.
The BS would be awarding George Bush with Obama’s entire first year of stimulus spending and much of the following year. Liars.
When I saw the first few words of the title, I got my hopes up!
Carney is nothing but a PAID LIAR, working for professional liars and a certified member of the HIDE THE DECLINE PARTY. Nothing but lies come from his flapping lips.
“Somehow we have these massive deficits and there has been no spending.”
Next they will tell us gas is $1.50 a gallon.
So the issue here is not the numbers being spent but the "rate" of spending? Or rather, as Carney qualifies it further, "the rate of federal spending increase" Help me out here. What does that mean?
Somehow we have these massive deficits and there has been no spending.
I can see where you might be confused. let me explain.
If George Bush had spent like this then we would have
massive deficits but since BHO only spent on stimulus
the large deficits you think you see are really .....
George Bush Deficits.
Got it now?
I notice gas prices are starting to fall wonder what
they’ll be come November eh?
To be an Obama supporter you literally have to be stupid. Jay meets the requirement.

I agree, May the Minister of Propaganda be dipped in sh!t and rolled in cracker crumbs.
They're saying the spending increased in Bush's second term and, therefore, Barry holding the line at $1.5T deficits is being a fiscal hawk. The problem is that the 2008 Congress held the budget up for Barry's signature and he also signed the stimulus. He owns the spending increase AND the continued spending.
Another case of SPONTANEOUS HUMAN COMPOSTION.....oh.....wait.....that’s where crap disintegrates......I guess that is Jay after all......
We don't have that kind of luck.
Well, Rachel does call out Romney for just betting on the pass of the roulette wheel.
He repeats what his goal of unemployment is “6.**” percent and the CBO says we’ll get there anyway by 2017.
If he wants to be bold make an audacious goal and set policies to attain it.
Other than that, he looks to be another manager like GW was going to be without 911.
