I wonder how desperate the prosecution is to appease the Sharpton crowd.

Zimmerman will be sacrificed upon the altar of Obama and the myth of black oppression—he isn’t the first nor will he be the last. I fear for the nation.

cross examination by a good defense attorney should be interesting to find out who convinced them to change their story...

On the main thread posted earlier, most FReepers see this as a good thing. Even if witnesses no longer support Zimmerman, the defense will eat them up.

“Are you wrong now, or were you wrong then?”

Their testimony in court will be useless. To the prosecution or the defense.

“I wonder how desperate the prosecution is to appease the Sharpton crowd. “

I was thinking more in terms of the blak panthers threatening these witnesses—or someone buying them off(think holder through a surrogate).

It appears the investigators wish to go down with Corey.

Subpoena the video recordings of the interviews, and see.

MSNBC is worried they’re losing momentum. Gotta keep those revenge beatings and killings going.

Investigators know that the initial testimony is usually the most complete and the most accurate. As time goes by, people start to have doubts about what the witnessed and also outside groups with agendas can exert influence.

Also the testimony has to jibe with the evidence for it to have weight. E.g., the evidence just doesn’t support that woman’s claim that it was Zimmerman on top of Martin.

If stories keep changing then more and more reasonable doubt appears.

During depositions it will come out what influence the change.

Also, police are notorious for putting views INTO the minds of witnesses. “so you saw the unarmed innocent kid on the bottom? yes?”

Particularly true when you have anti-second amendment cops denied an arrest by operation of law.

"A young mother in the townhome community first said she saw two men on the ground but wasn’t sure who was on top; she later said Zimmerman was on top because she recognized his size based on news reports."

So she watched TV and changed her mind?!? Well thats just really reliable.

Zimmerman is another victim of Obama’s race war. I would like to see Obama lose this treacherous game.

They may just be numbers now, but eventually they will be revealed by name in court. I imagine they are fearful and who can blame them?

The Sharpton crowd knows they won’t get a conviction; they’re moving on to the civil trial portion of this case, where money will be at stake. There is considerably more at stake also, in terms of political capital and idealogical warfare. Similar to OJ Simpson getting acquitted for murder but in civil court, was held as responsible as the plaintiff could get from OJ.

Bonfire of the Vanities in real life

Eric Holder needs to be held in contempt of congress BEFORE he files hate crime charges against Zimmerman.

This absolutely helps Zimmerman. The state has to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. It would seem there are no reasonable witnesses and the defense will be able to easily impeach any and all of these witnesses who are demmed hostile to Zimmerman.
