The Senate Appropriations Committee on Tuesday moved forward with legislation to increase airline passenger security fees, beating back a GOP attempt to keep them at current levels.
The 2013 Homeland Security appropriations bill would increase one-way fees for passengers from $2.50 to $5 in order to close a budget shortfall at the Transportation Security Administration.

Some jerk grabs me like that I WILL end up in jail.
It would be more merciful to finish off airlines with a gun, wouldn’t it?
Close the “gap” by CLOSING TSA!!!!
Everytime I go to an Airport, I am amazed at the number of TSA vermin. They swarm about like cockroaches looking for food.
They could cut the staffing levels in half and still be over staffed.
If you go to Drudge right now, there is a larger version of the pic I posted.
I’d be in soooo much trouble if that happened to me.
Yes, it would. I can't imagine how this can go much further without people finally just throwing the towel.
When I saw a TSA agent wearing a head rag, I KNEW it couldn’t become any more f**ked up.
Typical dimrat idea...
pay to be groped so you can fly...
when will the country wise up?
Yeah, I'll take that bet.
Gee $5 per flight to get my balls squeezed by TSA. Sounds like a good deal to me.
At BWI, the TSA folks like to chat with each other while “working”. Doubling the fee will not change that. Halving the TAS count would sure keep the BWI airport quieter!
If the said TSA looked lik this I'm give 'em $10.00
I agree....a knee planted fimly square in the molesters mouth or chin seems just too tempting.
We’ve stopped flying here. And we have a TON of free-flyer-miles, alas. If I want to pay to get groped, I’ll go visit san francisco (by car trip) and have it done by a pro.
Here’s a better idea: disband the moronic TSA and let the goons find work in the private sector.
*chuckle*
I grew up in the SF Bay area and you probably got that right.
But closer to home on the east coast, I recall Gov McGrivey (sp) got more than a grope at the Jersey Turnpike rest stops.
TSA must have learned from the experts!
