He wanted to "laugh" when he heard the teacher suggest he could be arrested for criticizing a sitting president.
"Honestly, at the time I wanted to laugh at her, because I've been taught all my life that nobody can take your opinion," He said he knew that it takes an actual threat against the president, not just criticism, to be arrested.
"(The teacher) doesn't want to hear anything but what she believes, and ... if you disagree, you get berated and put down," Rogers said. "I just decided to finally get some proof of it."
"Didn't Obama bully somebody though?" a student in the North Carolina classroom asked when the report was brought up, referring to an incident Obama described in his memoir "Dreams From My Father." In the book, Obama wrote that, as a child, he once pushed a female classmate after other students taunted them
The teacher, in the video, said she didn't know whether Obama bullied anyone -- but the argument quickly escalated, as the teacher yelled at the student, telling him "there is no comparison."
"He's running for president," she said of Romney. "Obama is the president."
The teacher later said: "Do you realize that people were arrested for saying things bad about Bush?"
The student told the teacher that someone can't be arrested "unless you threaten the president."
The Salisbury Post reported Monday that district school officials suspended the teacher in the course of their investigation into the incident.
Rogers' mother Gina told Fox News she was "shocked" when she heard the tape. She said her son had told stories about the classroom arguments, but she didn't realize they were this "extreme."
"I don't feel the teacher should have started a political discussion if she wasn't willing to hear both sides," she said.

The Teacher’s Union contract in MA allows teachers to take paid leave to go work on political campaigns.
The principle knows that she is affirmative action, therefore, he knows that is not a thing he can do about, just promote her and move her somewhere else.
Good job!! You found a photo of this distinguished edumacator.
Maybe she could show him where the barber shop is located, and keep him away from Dunkin Donuts!
Kind of a cheap shot I thought it was the lefties that judged by appearance.
Watch, Congress will pass a law making it illegal to video tape or record a teacher performing her duties on school campus!
Security Guard uniform???
A "form over substance" kinda guy are you?
If that level of stupidity qualifies a person to be a teacher in NC then God help us all.
Nothing to see, move along
..
Objection!
I said it on another thread and I’ll say it again:
Many blacks (the vast majority, if you read the polls) are pro-Obama. This is in spite of what he stands for and the policies his administration is implementing.
So the question is: Why?
The answer is racism. Obama is their skin color and that is why they support him. He looks like them.
Because of this, many blacks take criticism of Obama to be criticsim of black people, that is, themselves. This is dangerous because many, many people do not like Obama—not because he is black—after all, the majority of American whites voted for him in the first place—and if they’re considered rascist because of it, what will be the outcome of expressing themselves? Will this lead to more tension between the races? Why yes, it will.
I’m not saying this to be racist, but frankly, we need to acknowledge the emotionalism tied up in black people’s worship of Obama.
Security Guard uniform???
From a different story...
Salisbury Police Explorer Carlos Ellis worn his uniform under his gown during graduation from North Rowan on Friday. Ellis attended 4 graduations at Catawba College: Three he worked, one he participated in. His parents, Tanya Dixon-Neely and Mark Neely flank him after the ceremony. . ...but only one where I could find a pic of the media's 'not-to-be shown' edumacator
Good catch...
I think its amazing that a kid who looks like that would be conservative. They’re usually huge bullies and dedicated lefties. Good for him.
I take it it's been a while since you were that age, you gorgeous thing. Considering he's in what are called the awkward years, he's a fine figure of a boy. Combined with his intellect, courage, and fine upbringing, I'm betting he'll have to shoo the hoards off in a few years. : - )
I totally agree. He’s a very good-looking kid. Love the hair. When he gets skinny, I hope he doesn’t cut it. I just meant that if I saw him on the street, I’d expect him to be wearing an Obama t-shirt.
