Does the GOP’s Demographic Death Spiral End in a Texas Graveyard?
The New American ^ | 22 May 2012 | Selwyn Duke

If Democratic voters were rapidly increasing in number and Republican voters rapidly decreasing, it should be pretty big news, shouldn’t it?

Not when at issue is a third rail of American social commentary: race.

Recently I wrote a piece on race and voting patterns, using as a lede the story about how white births now account for less than 50 percent of the U.S. total for the first time in history. And while most respondents agreed with my analysis, some reacted predictably: Uncomfortable even hearing about race and/or frightened by what lies ahead, they rationalized away obvious facts.

And here is one: You cannot understand where our nation is headed ideologically without grasping the link between racial identification and voting patterns — and demographic changes that will yield Democratic hegemony.

Yeah, sure, it’s just a coincidence that majority Hispanic countries are all socialistic in nature and are basically corrupt third world backwaters.

It couldn’t have anything to do with the people getting the government they deserve.

Nice dream, but it doesn’t make a difference. Because each generation is still more liberal than the preceding one. This is why kids today have no problem with homosexual pseudo-marriage.

It doesn’t matter so much who has the kids if the liberal society is able to brainwash them.

And how many conservatives actually pointed out how a growing minority vote means the death of conservatism? Pat Buchanan, this guy, Thomas Sowell and....

I’m waiting.

Mainstream conservatives will hear, see and speak no evil.

You could have said the same thing of much of Asia in the recent past and most of Africa for a long while. I don’t see why it would have anything to do with the intrinsic nature of hispanics nor Central/South American culture, fundamentally.

Yes, well the fact that you don’t ‘see’ it doesn’t mean it isn’t true. I guess they were just cursed by Satan.

Who/What are these “Mainstream conservatives”? Are they the Neo-Cons that the CIA operative Wm Buckley brought in to replace the Race Realist Conservatives, the bulwark against the Balkanization of the Western Culture. These RR Cons that get thrown out by the likes of ‘Rich Lowry Conservatives’, or the DAzz Conservatives that thought GWB was a Conservative with his Amnesty hard on?
The only real hope for the 2012 election is the Sailer Strategy, ie GOP Future Depends on Winning Larger Share of the White Vote;

The hispanic culture embraces sexism, animal fighting, could care less about the environment, proud of expressing their hostility for gays, have huge families....

Ditto for Arab muslims, who in time will have as their stronghold the Northeast and upper Midwest.

"America" in 2100 will be comprised of Spanish-speaking muslims with Asiatic features. Caucasians, long relegated to minority status, will have migrated north to the upper reaches of Canada and (if it's not ceded back to Russia by then) Alaska.

Catholics did not change, they have continued to be democrats, they never assimilated completely.

We have had non-white minorities become majorities in many local areas, and we can see that they don’t magically become Conservative when they reach that tipping point. They continue to try to transform their cities into the 3rd world cesspools they came from.

Also the white “minorities” you speak of had no problems, because they assimilated. They didn’t dig their heels in and lobby for German or Irish-language classes in schools, and hold marches every year accusing the rest of us of racism.

William F Buckley was never a neoconservative. You don't know the meaning of the word.
It wasn't Bill Buckley than passed the 1965 immigration act, it was the unholy alliance of Northern liberals and Southern progressive klansmen.

It hasn't been the useless Rich Lowry, who has run the American Dhimmi... sorry American Conservative. This publication started by Pat Buchanan and Scott "Jesus was a Palestinian" McConnell has dedicated itself to foreign policy and the destruction of a single nation state, Israel. It has catagorically refused to deal with the national question in America, and rarely deals with immigration. Instead it imports writers from the Nation to write on foreign policy ad gets writers to sill for Ralph Nader in 2004 and Barack Obama in 2008.

Then we the only publication to run Steve Sailer, Vdare.com . The problem is that Peter Brimlow's pet project also runs Paul Craig Robert's who went insane after 9-11. PCR hates actual neoconservatives above all else. He doesn't care about the White Doe, but about his white whale, neoconservatives and Israel. This traitor to the white race wrote: “If I could rid America of neoconservatives, I would accept the entire population of Mexico.” http://www.vdare.com/articles/why-should-immigrants-and-amnestied-illegals-benefit-from-affirmative-action-quotas

Then we have the John Birch Society conspiracy loons you seem to like. The people support Ron Paul, who believes in no immigration restrictions. The JBS utopians want to get rid of illegals and reduce immigration without an iota more Federal or State power. That isn't policy. That's the complacency of delusion and the fall back of conspiratorial thinking when reality hits.

Let me be perfectly blunt, the fever swamps of conspiracy and magical thinking have turned paleoconservativism and Bircherism into the handmaiden of the left on the immigration issue, by making themselves irrelevant. No CIA money was needed.

Meanwhile, we have people on this website proclaiming that the majority of this country is conservative and that the future belongs to the GOP, if only we’d run more people like Christine O’Donnell and Sharron Angle, as long as the GOP establishment supports them. I think the reality is that the Federal government has imported enough legal immigrants and instituted enough entitlements and race preference programs that the Democratic party has a virtual lock on the presidency and an increasing hold on the Federal legislature. To salt the wound, it was Nixon who actually instituted Hispanic preferences, thereby slicing off a huge chunk of what might have become white voters, and created an Asian category that covered Indians instead of automatically considering them white. Instead of assimilation, the GOP has been engaged in the politics of balkanization, which plays to Democratic strengths. At this stage, the GOP really needs to get its act together and start to paint the Democrats as the black party, much as the Democrats try to paint the GOP as the white party.

From a demographic standpoint, I think we are being undone by both Roe v. Wade and the War on Poverty. The Roe Effect isn't as strong as the War on Poverty effect (free food, housing and medical care for able-bodied pre-retirement indigent individuals). Roe merely gave intelligent women who were otherwise conscientious the ability to abort their babies on demand, thereby depriving us of the higher IQ and moderate Democrats. The War on Poverty effect gave us an explosion of new babies by the low IQ indigent (e.g. Octomom) for whom popping out babies is how they make a living. Bottom line is that welfare is giving us a more liberal and stupid (as in naturally unable to learn) population that used to be offset somewhat by unwanted babies from the smarter elements of society. If abortion had been legal when Steve Jobs was conceived by his two grad student parents, he would have been aborted. Bottom line is that both Roe and the War on Poverty have been a disaster for conservatives, Roe because it has deprived this country of an uncountable number of highly-productive people like Jobs.

Still, I don't think there's any need for demographic angst over the current electorate for the 2012 election, which was born at least 18 years ago, back when white births were the majority of all live births in the country. Thanks to birthright citizenship, though, 18 years from now, Democrats will have a lock on the presidency. And in a decade, it wouldn't surprise me if Texas became reliably Democratic. John Derbyshire was right. We are doomed...

I am always disturbed by the aura of “inevitability” in these racial statistics.

Wrong.

We did this to ourselves.

We - both Conservatives and Leftists - have willfully and knowingly designed mass immigration policies that have changed America.

We had the option to limit immigration, and we rejected it.

We had the option to admit only high value workers, and we rejected it.

For the Left, at least in the short term, these policies make sense, since new immigrant citizens vote 80% for the Democrat Party.

But the bill is going to come due for white American Socialists the same way it has come due for white Socialists in South Africa and the former Rhodesia.

As for Conservatives - Reagan, the Bush's, the Wall Street Journal, the Libertarians, the Neo-Cons - history can only look back and wonder, “What were they thinking?”

Re: “And how many conservatives actually pointed out how a growing minority vote means the death of conservatism?”

Don’t forget Rush Limbaugh, who has called our mass immigration policy “The largest Left Wing voter registration plan in history.”

And don’t forget me.

I’ve been ringing this bell for seven years at Free Republic...and generated little but polite yawns.

In the French national election last week, immigrant Muslims voted 93% Socialist.

From memory...

The Muslim plurality for Hollande was about 1.75 million.

Excluding Muslims, Sarkozy would have won the election by about 400,000 votes.

Think about that.

On his most “Conservative” day Sarkozy is Center-Left, but he could get only 7% of the Muslim vote!

The same case in Israel, where Palestinian Arabs outnumber Orthodox Jews.

Without the Palestinian vote, Israeli government would be consistently Center-Right.

The movie “Idiocracy” was not a comedy, it was a prophetic documentary.

My thoughts exactly. Buchanan has really lost it. It's one thing to say that we did not need to fight Germany and/or Japan in WWII and quite another to say that the Germans and the Japanese were the good guys, as he more or less did. He's gone from there to saying that any old Muslim that attacks us is a misunderstood good guy. His assumption that only our potential adversaries have legitimate foreign policy interests that Americans should not oppose, no matter how threatening to our interests, has completely trashed any credibility he might have had for sane conservatives, who have always understood that some security interests are a zero-sum game that we occasionally have to fight wars to preserve.

2008 + IN, NC, FL, VA, OH, NV / IA = 271EV

Only four states left to flip, with five genuine opportunities.

It literally does not get any easier to beat a sitting President in the modern era than this.
