First of all, not a newb.. just a purge victim from the primaries.
JimRob posted almost a month ago about a so called truce between Romney supporters and the rest of the FReeper community. Since then, it appears the left has little job to do in driving a wedge into the right wing, we are doing it still ourselves.
Were is this truce? How come all I see on here is Alinsky tactics of divide and conquer? Today there was a post about Evil Mittie and him fundraising with morning after pill distributors. And the "true blue conservatives" pounce, little do they know that this pill manufacturer is one of the largest generic pill manufactuyrers in the world.. who produce all kind of medicine, even Augmentin, Azithromycin and Cipro, common anti-biotics..
This so called truce makes me sick. Can't wait to read the next half-baked anti-Romney article and the zealot FReepers who will eat up its every word because it furthers the narrative of Romney that THEY want him to fit into.
I'm not upset that people have beliefs that won't "allow" them to vote for Romney.. but what really irritates me is this active campaigning against people who would support Romney.. what game are you trying to pull? To deliver us into 4 more years of Obama servitude, for what purpose?? It strengthens conservatives? Talk about a phyyric victory. If you don't support Romney fine, but we are all anti-Obama here.. lets stay on focus.

Plenty of folks who are covered by Medicare ALSO carry family policies to cover younger dependents and spouses.
As even Mitt Romney could tell you, if you have more than one wife one of them will usually be QUITE a bit younger, so you'll need that family policy for her and 10 chillun anyway.
This. And those 'conservatives' are the ones tied up in knots because they failed. Perry/Cain/Bachmann/Santorum/Gingrich turned out to be a circular firing squad, so now they can't argue with the other guys supporters, so they bitch at the ABOs. The whole thing is predictably laughable.

I do know. You know it too, in the back of your mind, but like many you can hardly believe that Obama performed so rottenly that we as a country are going to sweep him out of office. But that's exactly what's going to happen.
You need to talk to the RNC about that... they are the ones that pushed for a liberal, and badmouthed convervatives, played dirty tricks, and changed the rules in the middle of the game.
During the last election, Rove seemed to undermine every conservative candidate even when they were ahead in the primaries.
We should collect all that stuff and put it in a book ~ to, in a worst case scenario, USE IT AGAINST HIM at his impeachment.
If the incumbent gets 4 more years, kiss the America we once knew good bye forever. If you are willing to contribute to that, go ahead. At least with the alternative we can stall our Nation’s demise for a while.
IF you are content with making your contribution to disaster, by not casting a vote AGAINST the present office holder...go ahead.

At the moment it looks like both parties have set themselves up for Impeachments all around. Shows the bankruptcy of thought at the top runs of the political classes ~ as well as consumption of entirely too much MJ, cocaine and heroin.
Remember those weight loss pills that etched away your lobes (of your brain) - Fenfluramine (Pondimin) and phentermine (Ionamin) they were called ~ Fen Phen for short in the Fen Phen diet?

Here, let me fix it for the two of you:
Yes, unless you want a continuous advance of leftward movement throughout the entire Republican Party, effectively silencing the conservative movement. You know, by voting in a man who stands for abortion, government health care, etc. Are you willing to let somebody else cancel out your vote against this bastardization of the conservative movement? Because if you don’t spend your vote AGAINST this, the rest of us fighting for conservative values lose.
THIS is what you two need to understand. People like YOU told us to hold our nose and vote for Dole. Then, people like YOU told us to hold our nose and vote for McCain. NOW, you are telling us to hold our nose and vote for Romney. How much farther can the Republican Party drift away from its core values while still being defended by brainwashed sheeple like yourselves? Face it, you would vote for Stalin HIMSELF if he had an “R” next to his name on the ballot. Because, as you repeat over and over, defeating the Democrat is more important that fighting for conservative values.

I am reminded of a cartoon I saw recently. It hows a man under a bridge living in a cardboard box and his family is sitting around a fire with him as he says,”Remember kids, no matter what you must stand by your principles no matter the consequence. What good is the home, car and everything else we used to have without principle.”
The road running under the bridge had tanks with the Obama emblem on them streaming towards a distant city which appeared to be going up in smoke.
Principles indeed, but at what cost? The Oak tree will not bend and in a high wind will snap while a willow will bend and survive to see another day, a day where things can be different. Using this thought consider a Romney victory and a strong Conservative grass roots movement to keep the pressure on him in an attempt to keep him in line. Politicians are always running for the next election and the threat of a primary challenge in 2016, if it is serious will I believe keep a man like Romney in line.
Do not underestimate the power of the much denigrated (by the media) Tea Party. They are alive and well and represent more of a state of mind then a political organization and as such are almost impossible to quantify. What occurred in 2010 can occur again.
ONLY 3 of them were lifelong Republican Conservatives.
So, tell me, who was dividing the vote? Was it the 13 UNPOPULAR RINOS, Former/current Democrats, and members of the Libertarian party? Or was it the 3 real Republicans?
