Sounds to me like she is campaigning for the big ticket...say what the people want to hear and all.

It's not too late for a Clinton/Wasserman-Schultz ticket, ya know?

But it is too late to be the first gay POTUS...shame.

What she means by "life" is what they do with their sex organs.

Everything else should be under government control, especially their earnings and property.

Government should not control individual lives.

Unless, of course, the individual lives are unwanted. Then it is dandy to kill them with tax dollars.

How can people look you straight in the face and tell you a lie—when they know, that you know, that it’s a lie.

Oh, really? This, from the woman who said “We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good” in June of 2004?

Uh... did she run this by Premier Hussein?

There’s a definite difference of opinion (and policy) there.

“(T)o make the case for civil society is really quite simple because government cannot and should not control any individual’s life – tell you what to do, what not to do,” Clinton said, taking part in a “Global Dialogue of Civil Society.”

Guffaw! A disciple of Alynski. What an odd, incongruous thing to say in a discussion of civil society. She's never believed that. With every fiber of her being, she has always lived and breathed as an unadulterated statist. A true believer. A subtle dance to the right during an election year? Trying to sound more centrist? Somebody contemplating an 11th-hour run for Pres?

It means something entirely different when she says it.
Conservatives: Gov't should not make laws to take away my freedom, property and livelihood.
Liberals: Gov't should not make laws to curtail abortions, food stamps, handouts, benefits, affirmative action etc.
