A friend , writes GAY on any form that in any way might ask.
He says let them prove otherwise!
I’m an American Indian. To prove it, I scalped some tickets to the baseball game last week.
I actually thought of saying on a job application once that I was part black. I was actually accused of it by a high school girlfriend when she found out my maternal grandmother’s middle name was Pearl. :-D
Did I mention that I’m 1/32nd Inuit? My great-great-great-great grampa mentioned this in his journal, which I’ve lost, but I remember seeing it as clear as yesterday.
Excellent article. I really like his using the terms “affirmative apartheid,” run by the “affirmative Klansters.”
I’m also native American. I was born here, that makes me native.
I urged a young relative to list herself as Hispanic on her grad school application, in order to enhance her chances of acceptance. Let them prove otherwise. She declined, and as a result, has not gained acceptance anywhere.
Ok. That is funny. Well played.
Oh yea you guys? You should see my like totally high cheek bones and I like firewater to boot.
That makes me 3/32 Indian
The left and the blacks themselves have done black Americans the greatest disservice possible with their self-imposed cultural apartheid.
The generational bitterness and hatred has done nothing but empower the left and keep black Americans “down”, in monetary and cultural poverty.
My ex defined herself as “Asian-Pacific Islander” when she determined that the State (her employer) could not question her on it. Her mother was Irish & her father a Slovak serving in the Marines. She was born in Honolulu, so the illusion was that she just might be part Hawaiian.
This drove her “big-boss” - a radical Latina with a chip on her shoulder - absolutely nuts since she couldn’t prove a thing.
Any forms of racial preference and set-asides are wrong and un-American. Such “laws” should be stricken from the books.
I have a friend in an interracial marriage. Her children are a mix of so many things ethnically they could not even begin to answer the question.
My ancestors were Scottish indentured servants, who were treated worse than dirt by their government corporate land lords, treated like slaves.
I want pay back. I am now calling myself African American!
Not only that, a maternal ancestor married a native American in the mid 1700’s
AND I HAVE HIGH CHEEK BONES! ( Got ‘er made in the shade!)
Jambo!
I am Scottish-Afro-Native American, and in all truth, can speak gaelic, swahili and mique maque. I am going to put on my kilt, war paint, and the Pig Foot Stew pepper pot! After that I’ll strike up my Highland Bagpipes.
Bring on that affirmative apartheid!
ITS WALK ABOUT TIME!
I’m half Irish. I demand reparations and entitlements because of the way my ancestors were treated like 3rd class citizens when they immigrated here in the 1800’s.
Their identity politics depends upon us self-identifying as the white devil.
If we don't do that, we screw their plans royally.
my high schooler’s depraved school wanted me to fill out a form designating a race for him. I declined. They called. I told them I thought it was silly. They sent another form. I didn’t send it back. They called him to the office, took a look at him, and checked some box and it was done. So THEY defined him by his blond hair and skin color. DEPRAVED.
I’m a white guy and I’m way more Latino than most of the people that claim to be.
My dad is from Lazio, Italy. Lazio is ancient Latium, home of the Latin people who spoke the Latin language and became better known to history as the Romans.
Which reminds me of the funniest and stupidest thing I ever saw in college. The Hispanic students group put up signs that they didn’t want to be called “Hispanic” any more because that name came from “Hispania”, an evil colonialist power. They wanted to be called....
Latinos.
I had a good laugh.
