I thought someone did this back for the 2010 election but I have not seen anything related to the 2012 election cycle. I would be willing to help get this going. As I see it, if we are not capturing this info and then vetting these folks ourselves then we have no one to blame but ourselves. For example Pam Bondi and Connie Mack out of FLA had tea party support and even SP endorsed them in their races but they are far from the pure tea party conservatives we want to see elected right? If you are interested or know of an easy way to kick this off please Freep mail me. If this is already happening and I am just not seeing it please point me to it so I can participate!
Check post #17 for a link to a state by state listing of Tea Party Groups. That should give some contacts whereby info could be obtained or accumulated. Some larger states may need separate threads where others may could work from a group. Good luck in your efforts.
I think the main forum would get more attention. JMO and I base it on the fact that I very seldom go to the Texas forum.
outstanding advice....good info and I agree.....let the vetting happen on the threads linked from this one.

Some combination of both state and open forum to gather the data, I’m guessing. Sorry, I don’t have a list of names.
Thanks!
Jim
you are running?
I believe it was in 2010 that some FReeper kept charts of various races, but can’t remember who it was.
I would think it would be good to have everyone list races they are familiar with, both Senate and House, and designate the best conservative/Tea Party candidate in that race.
A weekly update could then follow, showing any new poll results, campaign news, etc. that anyone would like to add.
Although I think state treads make sense, a lot of us follow races in other states too because the votes of the federal officials affect us all.
Thanks.

Did you all know we have a Freeper running for office here in Texas? !!!!!!!!!!!!
I think it was MestaMachine
Very helpful links and advice....I agree we need to keep them in the open forum.....more vis....thanks for helping me!
Big win last night for him in Indiana!!!!!!!!!!!........Anything else to add to the thread...any other advice or thoughts?
taking a break for dinner....back in a bit....in the meantime.....check out post #27
Well, the primaries are upon us and we have to act quick. Virginia’s primaries are only a month off. But still plenty of time to affect the outcome. I assume most states are about the same time frame (not Indiana obviously!).
If Jim wants to support a Front Page thread-
title:
Directory of Tea Party [or Conservative] Primary Candidates
body:
“Please post a thread on the forum for any Tea Party [or Conservative] primary candidates and then link to it here (and on the appropriate State message board).
Include the name, district, party, the date of the primary and a link also to the candidate’s website.
Include nothing else, all other info- and any discussion- must take place on the linked individual thread.”
It would require more attention from the mods than most threads...
I think using “Conservative” would get the most bang for the effort. It seems the Tea Party organizations haven’t even made many candidate recommendations yet.
Get some more input and thrn sleep on it. Like I said it would be the year’s most important thread IMO.
Well, Pam Bondi came out for Romney waaaay before the January primary. We will not be supporting her, should she run again.
If she can represent like she can post, she'll be a hellagood 'Pubbie!
Great link! Thanks!
