While Wild Things is certainly his most famous, I think his best work was the illustrations he did for Dear Mili, a short story by Wilhelm Grimm that had been lost to time, and rediscovered in 1983.

It’s a shame about the travisty that was Where the Wild Things Are, the movie.

Probably took years off his life.

One of my favorite books when I was a kid.
Also gave a copy of it to my kids.
