Palin was every bit as prepared as this whiney little narcissist we have in that job now; and Biden, Biden, don’t get me started on that gaffer. He tied up rush hour traffic in Nashville today like you wouldn’t believe.

Steve Schmidt still does not get it. If if had not been for Palin on the ticket, Obama would have won a landslide.

Steve Schmidt reminds me of Dan Rather who still not get it.

why would anyone hire Steve or whats-her-name ever again?

They proved to be leakers and whiners who will sandbag you at the first sign of trouble.

It was refreshing to read the comments on the Breitbart article about Schmidt. The comments veered off and defended Sarah Palin. The comments were very good.

In my book, Steve Schmidt was a DemonRAT mole who has sabataged every campaign he has touched. From the article:

“The 42 year-old New Jersey native’s campaign experience started with work for four failed state and national races during his mid to late twenties—ranging from the Kentucky Attorney General’s race in 1995 to working as Communication Director for Lamar Alexander’s 2000 presidential bid. He also managed failed Lt. Governor and Senatorial bids in California in 1998.”

I wouldn’t trust this SOB further than I could throw a stick. As far as I am concerned, Steve Schmidt deserves the FUSS acronym for causing (along with McCain in mental decline) Zer0 to get into office and destroy this nation.

McCain lost didn’t he? Next question.

Re the guy who “liked” Steve Schmidt. Dummy. You like “Mike Schmidt”, the former Philadelphia power-hitter. Remember, it is “Mike” not “Steve”.

There, all is good in the world.

"Leaked memos from the waning days of the McCain campaign indicated that Schmidt and his buddies aimed to protect Schmidt’s reputation in the impending electoral loss...... These memos and Schmidt’s desire to deflect blame likely provided the impetus for the anonymous lies spread about Governor Palin’s geographic knowledge following the campaign.

Schmidt was all about himself. He's certainly not the the only "me first" political campaign "professional" looking ut for his own career first, but he did an awful job, especially ignoring Palin's many, many accomplishments in her short tenure in the Governor's office.

This takes place within the ranks of both parties, but it never ceases to amaze me how failed political operatives are still considered ‘experts’. Very very few are.

I don’t even consider all successful political operatives to be ‘experts. All too often their views change more frequently than the direction of the wind.

Show me a person whose core values haven’t changed in twenty years, and I’ll show you a guy I could most likely support.

That still leaves folks like Ayers and Dorn, but they’re not running for office either. Those they support sure are though, and any tie to these folks or people they are fellow travelers with, should be a disqualifier. Hense my inability to back McCain, Soros and Terresa Heinz Kerry’s business partner.

Schmidt/Wallace were yet more building blocks in my conclusion that the “GOP Establishment” is fully populated by closet libs, whose primary agenda is to sabotage any kind of genuine conservative/grassroots movement that could endanger the power of the big-government ruling elites of the DC beltway and its media handmaidens.

When Sarah first came on the scene for me in '08, I heard generally good things about her. Beck, Limbaugh, and others had good things to say, so I was perhaps predisposed to give her a favorable listen. When I heard her speak, both in speeches and in press Q&A's, I was very impressed. However, Rove, Krauthimer(sp?), and others were decidedly not. So the question became, what do they know that I do not? I read and watched her speeches more carefully, looking for the clues that she was incompetent, unknowing, uninformed, or otherwise unqualified to hold office. What I found was that she was MUCH more qualified then Obama, McCain, or Biden.

This was disturbing, as the pundits, writers, and others that I trusted seemed to be much more perceptive than I, as they had her spotted as a fraud before she got off the plane, or that there seemed to be another agenda playing out before my eyes.

What we now call The Establishment seemed to have their poor opinion of her in very solid terms, very quickly. The evidence cited to bolster this opinion wandered from lines from a SNL skit, to 'a woman's place is in the home, caring for her family'. When they said she was uninformed, they did not offer, nor could I find evidence that this was true. When they said she was naive to the ways the real world worked, Both her words and her actions in Alaska belied that. So that brings me to the belief that I was being lied to. Why? Are these people all privy to what goes on 'behind the curtain?' A view that we commoners must be protected from? A view that Sarah doesn't have?

Like Reagan?

The rumors of Schmidt and Wallace sandbagging Palin should have put a cloud over them for any future campaign work. The fact that Schmidt and his old PR firm were trying to figure out how to cover his ass for his campaign fail before the campaign was even over, and stupid enough to put it on paper, should not so much have put a cloud over his career as a stake through its heart.

(Regardless of whom McCain’s running mate was, incidentally.)
