Attention "Anyone But Obama" (ABO) FReepers! If you go to the thread at the link you will will see that JimRob has "declared a truce" and hundreds of ABO FReepers are now vigorously defending their belief, which I share, that the ineligible Marxist Manchurian MUST BE DEFEATED to preserve the Republic...without fear of "the ZOT"! Please consider a DONATION not just to fund renewal of expression and amplification of your ABO views, but let's over-achieve this FReepathon to get JR his new equipment!
IMO, Free Republic and FReepers could be vital in swing states in rallying just enough conservatives to tip the election and prevent our troops from having to salute for even one day longer than necessary an ineligible Marxist committed to destroying the USA !
Maybe I should have pinged you to this post of mine too: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2880528/posts?page=61#61
Just some friendly advice FRiend. You’re not going to get very far here on FR with calls to censor religious criticism, even insult, trust me on that. (again, even I disagree with such a request, as much as I’d like to see it personally, I do recognize such sentiments only eventually threaten my ability to express opinion. )
It’s just going to give you frustration. Let me also repeat as I said elsewhere, “You’ll never be able to get the last word on the bigots here, NEVER.”. Proof of that is the evident ignorance of what religious bigotry is, on the part of some.
Just take “comfort” in the fact it’s always the same group of people fueling the majority of the religious friction around here. You surely have better use for your time than giving attention to the same group of unreasonably intolerant people, don’t you?

You can see why it's not appended to Christianity but instead the most that has been done is to tie it into Hindu views ~ which themselves are tied into some more ancient views involving, lo and behold, Noah, and quite possibly the more modern Jonah (a contemporary with Buddha).
Pure Land does have its Christian element ~ and that might be much more overt than is generally recognized.
Now, for the big time. The Jains teach ahemsa. I can point to a number of Christian saints who not only taught ahemsa they made claims of 20 brothers, wore a single cloth as a garment, slept outside on the ground and ate only food donated to them by others.
Which really raises some great questions about the transport of religious concepts from one end of the Earth to the other in ancient times.
I rather admire the bravery of those medieval Jains. Imagine walking to Europe to pass on a correct point of view only to find them all too willing to accept you as a Christian holy man and give you high honors. Must have been startling.
I don't think that sounds too realistic, and frankly kind of like the fantasy "draft Palin" nonsense I've seen.
It's dramatic but I can't see it happening.
Humble, if our side has lost the will to do 'dramatic' things in the defense of everything we hold dear, then we have already stood down, and have surrendered our country to the Commies.
I refuse to believe that we've surrendered yet.
I and others are issuing a Call To Arms. It's my hope that a million patriots will answer it, and appear at the convention in Tampa to stop this travesty.
Two million people marching won’t result in much. You have to threaten their power base in order to get their attention.
They don’t pay much attention to the peasants.
I’m hoping, in the future, the Wikipedia entry for “Circular Firing Squad” doesn’t include a link to Free Republic.
Thank you Mr. Jim....for not taking the easiest path, though you could have.
..."It always looks so easy to solve problems by taking the path of least resistance. What looks like the easy road turns out to be The Hardest and Most Cruel".....
--Winston Churchill
This ain't insane. This (pulls out Laz's brain) is INSANE.
Reincarnation is not eternal life in the sense Jesus or any Christian talks about their resurrection. We do not come back as a different person living a separate life from the past person we were.
There's been a demographic change ~ folks who think abortion is perfectly acceptable had a precipitous decline in their reproductive rates (which always happens when you kill your young ones).
The remaining folks had always had a higher birth rate since (and if you don't kill your young ones, that'll always happen)
We discussed that phenomenon many times. In fact the currently historically high rate of out of wedlock births may also be attributed to this change ~ in that people who like babies probably aren't all that worried about marriage as we might otherwise imagine.
This same demographic change is reflected in a major change in public opinion regarding abortion. We now have many fewer people who support it and a far greater number who oppose it.
Leftwingtard ranks are also declining and the population is, in general, over decades, becoming far more Conservative.
The abortionists did this ~ they killed their heirs. In the end we will dispose of them as well.
But I don't need to answer it, do I, NLZ? You're not stupid. You're not ignorant of Christian beliefs. You're playing games. But you're going to have to play them alone.
We need to force them to choose an honest conservative
Who would that be specifically?
You want to know about "different person", there it is.
Except you'd probably consider it close to studying witchcraft I"d recommend you just read through the general beliefs about reincarnation among hindus (for example, they're big on this and have some very complex discussions of the matter) and reflect on what Christianity really tells you about RESURRECTION.
Both you and your Mom left Mormansism? Now you sit around laughing with sanctimonious superiority at those who don’t share your hate for the faith?
You are caught up in contemporary labels.
Messianic Jews are believers in Christ as Messiah (Savior).
Christians are believers in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord as well.
They are both believers in Christ. Believers in Christ will be in heaven on account of their belief in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
Messianic Jews are still believers - they still follow Jewish worship service rituals, not any Christian denominational worship services. Some are the same, some holidays are the same, both sing, read from parts of the bible.
What is your specific hangup here?
You think I'm talking about the same kind of Tea Party rallies we've had before? Guess again. Time to step it up until we find the notch that causes them to step back.
Soap Box - ineffective
Ballot Box - FUBAR
Tool Box - open it up and grab a pry bar and a hammer
Cartridge Box - closed until every last civil effort has been exhausted
This thread is a good example of why conservatives are losing around the world. Its extraordinarily easy to divide conservatives. Many times we’ll do it to ourselves but the lefties are always happy to sit back and watch.
People seem to forget that children who’ve never heard of conservative concepts will accept big govt as being the answer. Its a far easier sell than individual responsibility.
Especially with the way conservatives treat those who don’t walk lock step with the myriad of agendas out there.
Not that it matters, with a socialist winning in France their economy is sure to fail, taking Europes with it.
We’re screwed.
Anytime someone starts with “you think” I know to stop reading.
Well you know, I really appreciate what you have told me in this regard, and even though I have stated that I believe in reincarnation, I have also come across something recently that leads me to believe that one life may well indeed be the case.
It appears that I do not have the answer to this question at this time, and based upon my strong belief in Jesus Christ, I must seek that answer in the Bible, and so I will do that.
