Yeah, there are definitely some that are hoping for that. These sorts of folks have convinced themselves that America is too immoral to save, and many are wishing for an apocalypse to wipe the slate clean. People like this don't want to make their votes count or participate in anything that could improve our situation, they just want to convince you it is hopeless so you'll join in their fantasy world.
Why do you care? It's obvious the vote means nothing to you, so what difference does it make who gets the most votes?

Oh, there are lots of those types running loose here lately. It's like the gates of crazy were opened for awhile and some of the deranged managed to sneak out. Left to speak freely, the overwhelming sane majority will deal with them and hopefully we will see less and less lunacy.

HELL, YES! Romney is the embodiment of his dad's favorite, Nelson Rockefeller. You remember him? He was the leader in the wing of the Republican Party which led to the Goldwater and Reagan Revolutions in opposition. Romney won't tell you this now but he's been an avowed enemy of conservatism his entire political career.

I belong to a Slovak parish. The Pastor and Assistant Pastor both lived in Communist Slovakia. They have told me that nothing takes away your bravado more than having a gun to your child’s head. Nothing. They saw many a brave parent give it all up when a child was at stake.
And they didn’t come to your house and threaten to shoot you. They took your children from school or from the field and had them when your door opened.
