You know, it’s funny.

I belong to a Slovak parish. The Pastor and Assistant Pastor both lived in Communist Slovakia. They have told me that nothing takes away your bravado more than having a gun to your child’s head. Nothing. They saw many a brave parent give it all up when a child was at stake.

And they didn’t come to your house and threaten to shoot you. They took your children from school or from the field and had them when your door opened.

Any person who can tell me that he/she will be a big shot while soldiers are raping their daughter or cutting off the fingers of their son, is lying.
