What you said.
Of all the posts, I like your simplicity the best.
What Jim has said probably changes little on the passion of the discourse on FR, but makes it a little more wide open for the fearful to tout their great courage in voting for Romney to “save us all from Obama”.
I hope I can live up to your post, and doubt that I will very consistently, but you are absolutely right.
Because Romney is a self-professed Progressive right along with the Black Progressive Caucas, including Maxine Waters, Barbara Lee, and also Hillary Clinton & Brac Obama, I have to go with the conscience I have, vote someone else and trust God for the rest.
There are those who are so afraid they just can’t care about that, so why would God want to intervene?
See, already I can’t keep an opinon to myself! :)
(my favorite was the Beer and Pretzel Party...or something like that)
Term limits seem like a stupid idea to me. It just takes power away from the voters. It would probably lead to a younger Congress, which would almost certainly make it more liberal. It would remove in equal proportion liberal and conservative legislators, so there’s no automatic net loss to be suffered by one side. Plus there’s every likelihood any location will elect a new person of the same political stripe.
Not to mention, it’s the fear of being voted out and the incentive of being reelected that helps hold politicians’ feet to the fire. Isn’t the line about Obama that he would be more dangerous in his second term when he didn’t have to worry about being reelected? Of course. Term limits give politicians more incentive to be destructive and dangerous.
So why spend the effort pushing for term limits when there are no clear gains to be made and a removal of a good incentive in the current system? We already have the power to vote out whoever we want on election day and have shown that we can and will do it.
I donate via a debit card because, like you, it is the only plastic I use. Has not been a problem. IMHO, give it a shot and see what happens.
If you don't want to do that, ask your bank for their suggestions.
Has a candidate who suspended his campaign ever gone on to win a primary? Not asking rhetorically, I don't know the answer.
Therefore, I will take my ball and go home.
Our faction has OUTFITS!!!! Woot! Woot!
My vote, nor any other free abiding citizens vote is never a wasted vote....An 'unprincipled vote' is the only wasted vote.....you're helping 'to preserve the status quo' you probably despise.
Voting for what you believe is never a wasted vote....I believe 'Romney and Obama are socialists' and bad for our country,.... therefore I will vote conservative... of which neither are.
Our faction has OUTFITS!!!! Woot! Woot!
My vote in the Primary will be a vote in support of the US Constitution and against Socialism, Marxism, Fascism, State-ism, Big Government, or a New World Order.
At this point, there is about to be only one way left to do that on the Republican Primary ticket, for those of us that have not had their primary yet.
The fact that we have allowed Ron Paul be the Republican Party’s only remaining outspoken supporter of the Constitution speaks volumes about what we are up against.
Obama has swung the nation’s pendulum so far away from the Constitution that nothing short of an equal or greater swing back towards it has any hope of preserving our Republic.
To those of you that think swinging it back just a little with Romney is good enough, well, good luck with that...
How do you think we got here in the first place?
“That’s Magic Fingers’ way of calling reaganaut’s decision to reject Romney an egotistical bit of vanity.”
No, that’s Magic Fingers’ way of responding to the blubber hereon by some who have had a special valve installed so they can blow smoke up their own a$$es, telling all that God smiles especially on them because they’re not going to vote for Romney...and that He frowns on anyone who thinks otherwise. If either of you are not one of those goofballs, sorry - it wasn’t intended for you. If you are, it was.
I still have my hazmat suit I used when voting for Bush 41 in 1992 and for Dole in 1996 and McCain in 2008.
Romney has a solidly documented record of being FOR all the things we conservatives are against -- state-run health care, abortion, activist judges, global warming regulation, and the gay agenda. Realville: you're willing to vote FOR that, to make that deal with the devil, in order to avoid Obama. In Realville, a deal with the devil is ALWAYS a losing proposition.
I've read what's been given. I just believe that "reason" must be based in fact or reality. Simply because one says something or "believes" something to be true, doesn't mean it is true. There's only one poster I have not responded to with sound argument. And his post is very long and very involved. I don't have the mental energy at this time to respond to it, but I "heard" the reasons.
Also, I'm not questioning "why Paul isn't supported"; I'm asking why Romney and not Paul. No one has given me a solid answer in response to that question.
as many Paul supporters youre in denial.
I'm a Palin supporter. Questioning is not the same as denying.
Further hes been protecting Romneys flank from day one.
Can you give me specific actions or even words that Ron Paul has made (at least three examples) that would make this a valid statement?
Rome wasn't built in a day. Neither was the colossus that is now federal government. We need to consistently chip it away and put in its place a cultural, societal, and economic framework for which our founders in their wisdom and vast knowledge laid the groundwork.
Keep pushing at the local level and in the federal legislature.
Onward & upward.
You never said it was posted here. More delays from you. You made the claim, back it up or I will just take it to mean that you have no support for your bogus claim that not voting for Romney will VOID my entire ballot.
Other races do not depend upon who I vote for for POTUS.

How? Will he be thrown out by the courts? He hasn't been so far. Will he be impeached and convicted in the senate?
Republicans couldn't accomplish that with Clinton and they had DNA proof of perjury.
If Obama wins odds are he serves another four full years.
Don't try to minimize it with pie in the sky hopes.
This speaks , no SHOUTS, your true honorable character.
We are so lucky you are there.
