Several insiders interviewed for this story said former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will present a unique challenge to Romneys team: Will they give her a prime spot to satisfy her fans, or reduce her role because of her polarizing nature?
You want people to generate interest and passion, said one Republican who has organized conventions before and who, like others, didnt want to be named. Sarah Palin goes to a very small segment, relatively speaking, of the Republican Party. And youre trying to put together a rainbow coalition. (Democrats faced a similar situation in 1992, when then-Gov. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania was denied a speaking role, he believed, because he opposes abortion rights.)

Nope, GOP-e is not out of touch...no way.
LOL, perfect.
Sorry, hit "post" before double-checking.
I agree----it's going to be more fun at her party down the street, anyway!
Not at all! I’m just glad you got the link, since I’m only seeing this now.
Firstly, Bob Casey does not appose abortion rights, if he did he would not be a Democrat, He is a POS LIAR.
As for Sarah only affecting a very small portion of the GOP...
Rainbow coalition, can you say gay fag
I have been very concerned by Sarah as of late. She never endorsed...why? She never finished her tour...why? Why did she not back Newt like Todd did?
Now she will support romney...yikes...not the Sarah I thought I was supporting.
It is too late now but she had an opportunity to truly have an impact on who was selected to run against Obama and she did not do it. Something is wrong and I just can’t put my finger on what it is....
Thoughts?

It appears to me that an awful lot of freepers projected onto to palin exactly what they wanted her to be and honestly mis-read her. I have not been a fan since the day she quit and she has not surprised me one bit since then.
Probably the best thing to do is elect Romney (hold nose) which will allow the conservatives four more years to elect more tea partiers to the congress and senate. We would have a better chance this way than to re-elect the past 4 years which will probably be the last election this country will see.
Here in Oregon we’re stuck with mail-in ballots. I just voted for Palin and expect to do so again in November.
Still a Sarah fan...just wishin and hopin and prayin for this country and I saw a opp for her to help influence this election.
She is an adult, a citizen and has served her community. It is her life and any projection or expectation is technically unrealistic for us...but here is too hopin and wishin and prayin for her and our great Country!
May God bless the efforts of all who serve this great land and her people in any capacity and for whatever length of time!
