While formally suspending his bid for the Republican presidential nomination on Wednesday, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said that he believes presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney is conservative enough when compared to the most radical, leftist president in American history.
And my answer is simple: compared to Barack Obama?
You know this is not a choice between Mitt Romney and Ronald Reagan. This is a choice between Mitt Romney and the most radical, leftist president in American history.
You know this is not a choice between Mitt Romney and Ronald Reagan.
This is a choice between Mitt Romney and the most radical, leftist president in American history.
Sorry the full title is :
Gingrich: Romneys Conservative Enough Compared To Most Radical, Leftist President in American History
Bloomberg's main mission these days is ramming NYC gun laws down everyone's throat. If he endorses Romney I'm sure going to wonder what promises were made.
No sale.
He’s got a point.
A vote for Romney cancels a vote for Obama.
Not voting doesn’t.
Simple math.
“A vote for Romney cancels a vote for Obama.”
Agreed, but how do you deal with those DEAD voters for Obama?;)
A vote for Romney is your consent to abortion, homosexual marriage, gun control, global warming, big government, mandates, RomneyCare, etc., but pushed by the GOP.
No sale.
If Reagan were here he would ask what is Romney doing in the GOP race to begin with. I say he’s a pawn of the left’s to keep barry in office.
"If, to please the people, we offer what we ourselves disprove, how can we afterwards defend our work? Let us raise a standard to which the wise and the honest can repair. The event is in the hand of God."
It's like why even bother being a patriot. Just give in.
Mr. Speaker, don't trust them—.
and only matters if your in a battleground state.
If your in a battleground state...Why?
If Mitt is the nominee and Obama is the incumbent, then who will the people who hate Mitt vote for?
Or are they going to take their ball and go home?
If Obama gets re-elected they will need a new place to bitch and moan because the one of the first places going off the air will be FreeRepublic along with EIB.
I bet you “anyone but Mitt” people will just be tickled pink that Obama gets another 4 years.
Look I am not happy that Mitt is probably going to be the nominee. Is there any possible way someone else will be, realistically?
A non vote or a vote for anyone but the republican running against Obama is a vote for SURRENDER, it is not even a vote for RETREAT to fight another day.
THERE WILL BE NO OTHER DAY.
Thank GOD the majority of people in the USA don’t frequent FR and drink all the anti-Mitt Kool-aid.
JEEZ!
That’s what been rattling around in my mind.
I am planning to block my sister-in-law’s vote this year.
It’s my protest vote against LIBERAL entitlement stupidity.
That's the bottom line. The elephant in the room.
Jim, I know your position and I respect it.
I’m not sure myself what I will do on election day
but I will not accept Obama for four more years.
If we can gain the Senate it’s possible that origionating
Proper bills we can influence Romney to do what is
right, certainly with Obama it will be more of a
struggle, if possible at all.
Sarah was my choice but that didn’t happen.
I only know Obama is a disaster to our nation,
if he’s elected again there will be NO recovery
because that isn’t in his interest.
Myself, I’m old, but my niece just got married
and I see a dark time coming for them if this
rampant socialism isn’t stopped.
It’s not up to Romney but the Tea party to put
the brakes on and control the narrative.
I pray to Divine Providence, like Washington did
that our nation and way of life can continue to
be a shineing goal for all who seek freedom and
prosperity for their progeny.
tet.
Jsut to clarify two things: first, a vote for Romney is a vote for someone who supported all of the above in the past but now claims not to anymore. Skepticism of his conversion is quite reasonable, but do you think there is any possibilty that five years of campaigning face to face with Republican voters has actually changed his mind on at least some things?
Second, is it you opinion that a 2nd Obama term would be less harmful than Romney becuse the Republicans would oppose Obama, but support the same measures from Romney?
The socialism problem is far greater than Obama.
He is just a symptom
As long as you have universal suffrage, you will have democracy, and then collapse.
That's why the Founders didn't put a right to vote in the Constitution, and the marxists constantly work to expand the franchise, now to felons and illegal aliens.
"Democracies have been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and have in general been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their death." James Madison
Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. John Adams: letter to John Taylor, April 15, 1814
The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.:Thomas Jefferson
