Earlier this past week you may have heard on Glenn Becks radio show Michelle Bachman recounted a story that last Sunday (April 22nd) she was in Afghanistan and stood over a young man who had just lost his left leg in an IED attack.
Let me tell you the rest of the story, that young man had to be PFC. Justin Lansford, (22 years old) whose vehicle was hit by a IED earlier that day. Justin is a close and personal friend of my family, having known him since he was about 14 years old.
He steady dated my daughter through High School and went to all the proms and dances with her. He was an accomplished High School athlete (football) for Brookwood High School here in Georgia. She was his sponsor at his Confirmation. We have been blessed to know him.
As writing this, Justin is fighting for his life at a hospital in Germany. He lost his left leg just above the knee, his spleen was removed, lacerated liver, multiple broken ribs, two fractured femurs, punctured lung and fractured spine. With all that, he still is a fighter and refuses to succumb.
This past Friday, he was to be transferred to Walter Reed but unfortunately has developed A.R.D.S and pneumonia. He remains in a medically induced coma in Germany where doctors now have requested his parents come. They are now there as of this past Saturday.
He is now in the hands of the doctors and God.
Prayers up.
AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
Please, Lord, make every cell, fiber, organ, system whole in Your Blood and Spirit, in Jesus’ Name.
Blessing from God for this Brave American!
Thanks for posting this.
Prayers for Justin, his family and friends.
Prayers for Justin.
All my sincere prayers for Justin and his family. Also for you, nevergore, so hard to witness someone who is loved fighting for his life.
Blessings, etabeta
I pray that Justin fights through and recovers.
Our Soldiers are still on the front lines. America seems to have forgotten our warriors are still fighting and dying for us.
His parents must be beyond terrified and heartbroken.
I sincerely hope Justin makes it. We will pray for him and think of him often.
We shall pray for Justin and his parents
Prayers have been sent for Justin and his loved ones.
Prayers up for this amazing young man and for his family.
Dear Lord, please share Your strength with Justin, his family and friends. Hold them all in Your loving hands, that they may find rest there, and heal.
Hear our humble prayer, Lord.
Tatt
Will add you and your family to the prayers also. Take care.
Praying
Prayers up for Justin and his family.
Lots and lots of prayers and love for Justin and his family. He is in great hands in Landstuhl and will be at Bethesda/Walter Reed. The level of care they provide is phenomenal and outstanding. I walked that road about 6 years ago myself, so I know how drained they are emotionally. Prayers for you and your wife as well. If you need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.
And if his family needs anything too, please let me know.
May God Bless this warrior and his parents, who must be going through living hell right now.
You speak so highly of Justin it’s obvious he’s been a large part of your family - prayers extended to you and your daughter.
Prayers up for Justin and family for healing, peace, and perseverance.
I think recounted was the word when the poster typed in “recanted”
I will ping my biggest list here momentarily... many prayer warriors on that list.
