Sorry for the long link, but WTF.
Is a "white Latino" any the less important than a "black American"? ...and before you shred me, I don't think these cases are equivalent!
#6 when I search on “Daniel Adkins”
It came up for me too.
Who knows, but results change all the time - they are not static.
Maybe I just caught Google in a “bad second”. Though, there are three pages now, why aren’t there more?
Yes, Google now tailors search results to each user.
Actually I've heard all the engines have algorithms that give you the results you want to see, and that includes political points of view. Like depending on your history the results for search on Obama would be very, very different. It's not so much filtering, as prioritizing. Maybe that has something to do with it.
I bet if you find the story on Adkins, follow the links, then go back and search again, multiple versions of the story will be on top of the list of results. Or for that matter, if you followed some FR links it might do the same thing. Now that would be an interesting experiment.
Maybe the fact you did not get the story on Adkins in your results indicates that you spend most of your time on left wing sites!! (Just kidding.)

Why do I not get the same results? I have no cashing or history, but this is not the same results. How manipulated are we?
number one on the regular search
My point exactly! You did not get the CNN article with over 8,000 comments in your return. What does G.o.o.g.l.e. stand for? Government Over-site on Gleaning Logical Explanation?
Your search was what? ... because I’m still not getting the results I was getting over the weekend.
I got a CNN Blog about the story on my search.
At various times Google algorithms will return different yields.
They are also personalizing your Google products experience and that can have varied results as well.
How does Google or anyone “scrub”? What does that mean?
TIA.
IOW, a confirmed Obot would never see a story critical of The One.
Leave it to google to improve on 1984's memory hole, and make it a personal memory hole...
