Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.

And I also think Obama’s hate of the country is something I wouldn’t say mitt has. Still not voting for mitt. Anyone but Obama does not automatically mean mitt, it means “anyone” but obama. The person I vote for still falls into this category.
I just came off a course on introductory internet architecture and security. There are only servers, routers, switches, hubs (not really used anymore), and then the individual’s computer for the internet. (well, there is the fiber connecting it all)
And websites exist solely on servers.
So the only thing left, outside a server to upgrade is more fiber to connect the server to ‘teh interwebz’.
Well, unless he’s going to buy a new website format or is contracting out to a webdesigner to custom-make one.

Free Republic is set up as an LLC. While I certainly am no lawyer, my general sense is that corporations have obligations to account for their finances. As DJ MacPuppyDog keeps saying, a budget has been made public. However a budget is not accounting. Not being a lawyer, I don't know what state and federal laws require as regards disclosure. So let me put it this way. For $376,000 a year in donations, it certainly is not too much to ask JR to ensure that his donor base is treated with courtesy and respect -- even if some happen to hold opinions that differ from his opinions and those of his gleeful zottgeist crowd. And when those new servers finally do make an appearance, a thread proudly showing off photos of them would be a nice touch.

My guy was Rick Perry, just a shame his performance in our Endless Reality Show Debates primary did not help his cause. But since Mitt’s the last man standing, I am supporting him now. My other choice is Obama or someone running from the nutjob parties. I’d rather saw off my right arm then vote for Obama, and I am fairly sane, so that leaves out the nutter candidates. Yeah, I will promote Romney, because how I see it, if you don’t you are supporting Obama. Like I said, I’d rather saw off my right arm then support the dog eater.

I was thrilled when Perry decided to toss in his hat. In my opinion, he did himself in with his embarrassingly poor debate performances. People concluded, rightly or not, that he was a George W. Bush clone complete with the Texan accent and the seeming lack of the ability to speak well. I HAD hopes for him, and he may yet be our nominee in the future, but he didn’t have what it took to beat the “teleprompter” in chief and it was painfully obvious. A little more practice and 2016 may be his time.
