There could be only one good reason to have Dem Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer on Morning Joe: to grill him on his ugly anti-Mormon swipe at Mitt Romney. Schweitzer recently said that Romney would have trouble attracting women voters because "his family came from a polygamy commune in Mexico."
So naturally I waited for Mika Brzezinksi, Mark Halperin, Cokie Roberts--anyone!--to raise the question of Schweitzer's slur. And waited. It never came.

All of these trivialities as disticntions just underscore how very similar Bishop Willard and Lightworker Hussein are in their policy histories.
The GOP got what it wanted. Live with it. Die with it.
Because they got their orders to change the subject
“President Obamas campaign quickly disavowed the comments and said it would not engage in attacking a candidates religion. In fact, the remarks are outside the bounds of what both sides have said is acceptable discourse for the campaign.”

AND...the campaign won't have to lie. All the dems have to do is bring to light the truths about Joseph Smith, the mormon corporation and the 150-year record of mormon leaders calling Christianity an "abomination". There are 52,000 mormon missionaries going out every day proclaiming to Christians that their faith is bogus and the mormonism is the "one true and living church", the ONLY way to salvation.
The epitome of stupidity is running a member of a proven racist sect against a black man. Mitt was 31 years old before said sect recanted it's doctrine that blacks carried the "mark of cain" and their color was a curse of the mormon god.
During the 2008 cycle Willard was speaking to I think it was George Stephenapolous
George asked about polygamy and Willie Mitty said
“I cant think of anything more awful than polygamy IN THE DESERT”
He wasnt saying polygamy was awful, just living in the desert..
He didnt say anything about when his family lived back in Utah in the greeen mountains in polygamous relationships before they went to the desert of Mexico...
also Willie Mitty never denounced polygamy as a sin and/or a crime...
His family back to his 2nd and 3rd great grandfathers were bigamists err polygamists...
Thats what makes the Romneys speshall in Mormondom...
Mitt has gotten permission from the LDS leadership to distance himself as much as politically necessary from the church in order to be elected.
I thought it was interesting that for the last 150 years in Utah before the start of legislative session the leadership of the Mormon church would meet with both parties and both houses of the legislature to fill them in on the church’s position on the issues. This year for the first time ever the meeting was called off...
To everyone that is upset about this, don't say you weren't warned. If you want my opinion this is just a taste of what we are going to get from the Media. These are just scouting attacks to see what is going to have the most penetration when they really begin to attack. Once he has the 1144 delegates they will begin the task of cutting him down to size. Then they will begin attacking him for being a Mormon and bring up the recent church history towards blacks, you only thought the race in 2008 was about race. No doubt some “investigative reporter” will uncover some wacko sect down in Utah or some such place were they still hold to polygamy. You can imagine the ammunition that Saturday Night Live will have in this mockery, remember Tina Fay could see Russia from her backyard. That's why I was amazed when he was pushed as the 'most electable' from the start of this snafu.
To any who hope Romney wins in November dig out your helmets and flack vest and prepare for the artillery barrage!
The meeting was moved to after the legislative session was over.
