The agency might be closed (when was the last one closed ?) but the bureaucrats live on.

That’s what I’m saying - you can’t replace one department with another, because you still get the same Marxists holding positions of unaccountable power.

The only way is to make them go “cold turkey” for 5-10 years to flush them out.

I'm not sure but I thing we still maintain a strategic helium reserve in case there's an emergency and we need to keep the Navy dirigibles flying.

Maybe so - but you can "crucify" them by bringing a few dozen or a few hundred up on criminal charges...which will be dropped if they resign. Alternatively, you could set up an EPA, OSHA, DHS, whatever field office somewhere in northern Alaska and ship them all there.

He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people, and eat out their substance. Once we revolted for such atrocities of the public trust committed against the people...oh, that we had sheriffs and governors who would arrest federal agents and put an end to the overbearing power of the feral government.
