A Courageous Commissioner !
From the very beginning of the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case I’ve felt Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee got a raw deal. He was essentially run out of his job for deciding there was no probable cause for arresting Zimmerman. Zimmerman claimed he shot Martin in self-defense, and under Florda’s “stand your ground” law, he seemed to Lee to be on pretty firm ground. Then the charges of racism started flying, Al Sharpton and company got involved, tensions in Sanford rose to the boiling point, and to placate the angry protesters, Lee was removed from his post and placed on paid administrative leave.
Monday, Sanford city commissioners met to vote on whether to accept the letter of resignation Bill Lee had offered earlier in the day. It looked like a done deal when Commissioner Patty Mahany, as you’ll see in this report from WKMG, Channel 6, took up for the embattled chief and asked a simple question:
And Pat Mahaney says they have a "great police force"??? Here we have an innocent white man, (until PROVEN guilty), George Zimmerman, whose head was smashed open by this Treyvon thug before before Zimmerman shot him in what looks very much like self defense according to photographs and witnesses, and the local police won't protect him? They won't bring in the State Police to help protect him? He has to pay for his own protection just to stay alive.......IN AMERICA?
I know that Treyvon is a look-a-like son for the son Obama doesn't have, (in his own words), so Zimmerman will get no federal protection from the Black Panthers' vigilantism because of Obama's racist outlook at white men. BUT THE LOCAL POLICE, DISTRICT ATTORNEY, MAYOR AND GOVERNOR SHOULD BE DEMANDING FEDERAL PROTECTION FOR ZIMMERMAN AFTER HAVING A BOUNTY PUT ON HIS HEAD BY A NATION-WIDE RACIST ORGANIZATION.
And why does everyone seem to be unaware that it was OBAMA'S racist remarks about Treyvon looking like the son he never had that sparked this whole "kill Zimmerman" craze in the so-called "black community"? That was the most divisive, rabble rousing, trouble making statement I've ever heard any US President say in my life.
What gives in America anyway? This country is so far removed from the America I grew up in that I barely, if at all, recognize it anymore as "America". I can only pray that people wake up from their delusional, collective snooze and vote the scum in Washington and their State Houses out of office, and replace them with God fearing leaders of morals, courage, backbone, virtue, leadership ability, wisdom and love of country. But something tells me, sadly, that this just isn't going to happen.
Obama didn't just fall into the Oval Office from the sky; ... he was ELECTED by Americans. And Mitt Romney, the man who designed the prototype of OBAMACARE and FORCED it down the throats of all Massachusetts residents under the power andd authority of hefty fines and jail time, is the best alternative we can come up with? That's all I need to know about who and what the majority of Americans have become. They are far too immersed in "self" to be interested in "country". The 'Dark Side' knows this very well, their time has come.
There will never be another America like the one I lived in when I was young. Back then we weren't just told we were free, we WERE free. Not perfect, not utopia; but united, hopeful, prosperous, safe, and FREE.
