WASHINGTON (AP) — Newt Gingrich's daughter says the former House speaker will "reassess" his campaign after the votes are tallied in Delaware, potentially setting the stage for his exit from the Republican presidential race.
Jackie Gingrich Cushman said Tuesday that her father's campaign has slimmed down but is still winning over voters who aren't yet sold on Mitt Romney, who has effectively clinched the GOP presidential nomination.
Despite trailing Romney in convention delegates and fundraising, Gingrich has vowed to campaign until the party's late-summer convention in Florida.
Gingrich is carrying more than $4.3 million in debt and has been spending more money than he is taking in.

What I’ve heard is Newt not trashing Romney when Hannity was talking about Romney. Newt has already said he will support Romney if and when he gets the 1144 or however many delegates are needed to clinch. But Newt has NOT quit the campaign yet.

Yep, Obama is a dyed in the wool commie. Whereas Romeny (like to many American voters) is what I have been calling a secondhand communist.
He supports most of their positions where it matters. Job because Obama has a lot of money doesn’t make him a capitalist or really free market or pro-Constitution.
The reality is there isn’t a lot of evidence that Romney is anything but a uber lib. Except, he when he tries to bumble through the usual conservative buzz words.
You are right there is a lot of difference between BO and Willard.. unfortunately what they have in common is neither of them are very good.
Personally, I am writing in Palin or Gingrich. I’ll vote for the other lower offices.

I understand that...just very disappointing turnout today at my district. I can only hope others might show tonight after work. The people there were all frustrated with this primary....angry...dismayed....I think I caught their bug!
I was waiting for Newt to say something that was encouraging....about his run....must be I had the wrong ears on.

I appreciate what you are saying, and if you want to stay home and effectively cast a vote for Obama then so be it. I do understand that Romney is not a conservative. However, on election day there will be exactly TWO names on the ballot with any chance at all of being elected President. I will actively support the one who see as a politician vs. one I see as someone who hates this country and seeks it’s destruction (at least as we know it). If Romney was running against a so-called Blue Dog, or someone I felt loves this country but was just flat WRONG on the issues I might join you. HOWEVER, this election is about Obama. We have to get him out of office. We cannot have an America-hater with that level of Executive power.

Had the tables been reversed, and Santorum the last conservative standing, I would have voted for him today, were it my state, to keep the chance of barack obama getting another term severely limited, for the sake of the military if nothing else.
