Planning has begun for the 7th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.
This years shoot will be held at Schwenkes Rifle & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069, Aransas Pass, TX. Which is a few miles north of Corpus Christi.
The date of the shoot is October 6th, which is Columbus Day weekend.
I have not talked to the range owner yet to see if we can cook on the range. If not, we will head over here for food & more fun. What food & who cooks has yet to be determined. Im thinking, since we will be on the coast, we should have seafood.
Several of us will be staying in the cottages at that resort. The cottages sleep 2 ~ 4 people; they are a one bedroom with a fold out queen couch. I am going to reserve four cottages so that we will have a common area where we can eat & socialize. Let me know if you want to stay in one of them.
It should be noted that a festival will be held the same weekend as the shoot.
Thats it for now . . .
Last time I think we ordered pizza, drank Maggaritias and lost some coin at Poker.
But if we got a kitchen, I’ll bet we could scare up some bad-ass nachos.
Or the time before that, I mean.
One of them times.
Somewhere up yonder on this thread I think we discussed having chips ~n~ dips, and other stuff. Killer nachos would be awesome.
Maybe we could even boil up some shrimp, if we can find any in that area.
I reckon that might just be possible right there.
Maybe we could ever scour up some bacon & charcoal and see what happens.
Dog is in the kennel, booked into the Microtel Bayfront hotel and bought a new rifle.
Looks like I am finally going to one!
I’m picturing a waterfront shrimp run.
Johnny can do. Gangnam Style.
Now the really big question arises. Which hat to wear:
BB35
CV10
CV16
So can the Bieber!
Shopping?
Nooooooooooo! Help me ... I’m melting ......
;p
Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it to the H3 Stockyard where I didn’t have the finest steak I have had in a while, and didn’t have BuckeyeTexan next to me who wasn’t able to share the running commentary of the debate with the finest people I haven’t met in a while.
President Obama sat to my left by the way.
And I hit every single one of those hot freeper ladies.
In fact, BuckeyeTexan and I hit it in the car. She was amazing.
I would say BB35...But...
CV-14 would be nearer to my heart...My grandfather flew off that postage stamp back in the war...
I wish I could come across one of those covers someday...I have the CG cover from a friend who served on that cruiser back when it was plying the worlds oceans...
Any cottages still available???
I know, silly question...But hey...
I’m packing up rifles, ammo...Wife Unit is getting ready for work right now, and asked me if I was packing any clothes and other stuff...
Dohh!!! (smacks self on the head...) ;-)
Last I heard, Pelican Bay was booked up. Professional Engineer & family are staying here - http://www.driftersresort.com/ - you may want to give them a holler to see if they have anything open.
They have a Church Retreat this weekend...They are full up...
Any other places you can think of???
I have prices on the Holiday Inn Express, and Hoope’s House now...
I found a place...
Fulton Beach Bungalows...Good price...
The landlord said they have one more cottage available for the weekend...So if anyone is still looking for accomodations, or don’t like where yer staying now...Give them a holler, a real nice lady will take your call...
Be prepared to use PayPal to secure the cottage if you do call...

They are across the corner from Alice Faye’s from what she said to me a minute ago...
I’ll be in Friday lunchtime...
See y’all...
My uncle served aboard CV10.
I left both CV covers at home for safe keeping. BB35 rides everywhere with me. ;)
