Planning has begun for the 7th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.
This year’s shoot will be held at Schwenke’s Rifle & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069, Aransas Pass, TX. Which is a few miles north of Corpus Christi.
The date of the shoot is October 6th, which is Columbus Day weekend.
I have not talked to the range owner yet to see if we can cook on the range. If not, we will head over here for food & more fun. What food & who cooks has yet to be determined. I’m thinking, since we will be on the coast, we should have seafood.
Several of us will be staying in the cottages at that resort. The cottages sleep 2 ~ 4 people; they are a one bedroom with a fold out queen couch. I am going to reserve four cottages so that we will have a common area where we can eat & socialize. Let me know if you want to stay in one of them.
It should be noted that a festival will be held the same weekend as the shoot.

You may have mentioned this already; what are the range amenities? Shade, chairs, etc. Do we need to bring our own?
Red Roof Inn is pet friendly.
Diet Coke with lime is chillin’ in the fridge.

IIRC the range had shade and seating. But I've been to so many of these my memory might be fading...
If yer into antiques & memorabilia, take a walk south on Main street to the Cross-eyed Moose and have a gander at some unique stuff.
We'll see y'all at ‘bout 6:45 for a cocktail while we gather up.
It wouldn’t hurt to bring chairs to the range, so you will have something to sit on while eating lunch. Definitely bring them to the cottages on Saturday evening.
I cannot remember if there are shaded areas outside of the shooting bays. I am bringing a canopy & table for the food set up area.

Waiting at the airport now...so ready to get this show on the road! I’ll be in Dallas by 1:30 and will be picked up by mylife (thanks to him!) and driven to Ft Worth....let the party begin!

Enjoy your flight. We sure are gonna miss you at the shoot ~ well maybe not, we’re all pretty good shots.
It is such a shame I won’t be able to attend. BuckeyeTexan will be picking me up at the airport at 3pm or so, but she tells me she won’t be able to make it either. We’ll be driving towards Corpus Christi together, and will be right near you folk, but alas, we cannot make it.
Dang, and I even sent a jar of Psilocybin mushroom salsa just for you. ;)
