Planning has begun for the 7th Annual TexasCowboy Memorial Shoot.
This year’s shoot will be held at Schwenke’s Rifle & Pistol Range, 4407 FM 1069, Aransas Pass, TX. Which is a few miles north of Corpus Christi.
The date of the shoot is October 6th, which is Columbus Day weekend.
I have not talked to the range owner yet to see if we can cook on the range. If not, we will head over here for food & more fun. What food & who cooks has yet to be determined. I’m thinking, since we will be on the coast, we should have seafood.
Several of us will be staying in the cottages at that resort. The cottages sleep 2 ~ 4 people; they are a one bedroom with a fold out queen couch. I am going to reserve four cottages so that we will have a common area where we can eat & socialize. Let me know if you want to stay in one of them.
It should be noted that a festival will be held the same weekend as the shoot.
That’s it for now . . .
Hopefully the zombies will work better than the boats, eh?

I was just saying to Eaker last night, that I think we should use that pier to catch part of our dinner for after the shoot.
A good tour of the Lex takes about three or hours; hanging out at the Seafair would take up about two hours.
Mr. Schwencke’s main concern is that his livestock don’t get shot.
Either one would be fun, but I’m up for whatever the group wants to do. :)
YA mean we might have to play cowboy? I will have to get me some of them smokingfrog type duds :-)
On a serious not given the price of beef I can't say that I blame the gent.

Something to consider...
We could move up our schedule a day so as to have Friday to catch all the sights.

He was a tractable horse, a very nice fellow.
Well, I’m putting in for Thursday to Monday, so let me know what y’all decide to do. I wouldn’t mind actually seeing some of Corpus while down there. :)
As of today, plans are of course subject to change, the Mrs and I plan to hit C.C. Sunday 9/30 and spend the week touring the sites of south Texas :-)

That sounds like an awesome plan! Enjoy yourselves. San Antonio isn’t but a few hours northeast of there. You might take a side trip up there or to other wonderful Texas destinations! :)
