Citing inflammatory language while expressing his displeasure with President Barack Obama, the military has uninvited rock star and conservative political activist Ted Nugent from performing at Fort Knox in Kentucky, according to the U.S. Army posts Facebook page.
After learning of opening act Ted Nugents recent public comments about the president of the United States, Fort Knox leadership decided to cancel his performance on the installation," it's Facebook posting says.
So far, the June 23 concert remains on the Fort Knox schedule, with REO Speedwagon and Styx listed as co-headliners, but army personnel said they will grant requests for refunds in light of their decision to nix the opening act.
The cancellation is the latest wrinkle in a controversy that has engulfed Nugent since last weekend when, speaking at an NRA convention, the rocker said that he would be dead or in jail if Obama is reelected in November.
Also referring to Obama and Democratic candidates in general, he told the NRA faithful: We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November.

I am beginning to think that you maybe very well be right, and that is a scary thought. However the clown and his “army”
is still going to have to deal with a big bunch of well trained ex combat vets that are in a lot of cases are still pretty well equipped. Its been 40+ years since I have had to fire shots in anger but I haven't forgotten how its done. I wrote a check made out to The United States of America at one time with the “pay this amount” blank and it hasn’t been cashed yet!
Are those gentlemen taking their oath with “three fingers to heaven”, like the Swiss guard at the Vatican City?
“Heil Der ‘Bamafuhrer!!”...
Somebody fu__ed up.
CJCS is an Obama ally.
I guess Obama’s talk about knives and guns, getting in faces, hitting back twice as hard, hand-to-hand combat and punishing his enemies was just innocent metaphor, while Nugent meant it literally?
Who?
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Same military leaders who treated Hasan with kid gloves?
By pulling Nuge they only hurt the Troops who they don’t care about anyway.
Weenies! Ted scares them. Imagine their terror if Ozzie Osbourne got political on them.
No problem...should have spelled it out.
So our military is comprised of panzies?
Whodduh thunk.
I would think you would want a very vocal and proud citizen to show his gratitude to our armed forces by entertaining them.
Can’t wait for Ted’s reaction to this one.
To be honest I’ve never cared for Ted Nugent or his ways. I consider him another overpaid Hollywood schmuck entertainer who found a way to skip the draft in the 60s while others with lesser connections went. The opinion of any of you Freepers means more to me than Nugent’s. Just because he might call himself a conservative and an NRA member, doesn’t mean I have to like him or his music.
